Webbers Park is a quiet, family-run site with fantastic views to the Haldon Hills and Dartmoor. As well as being peaceful and secluded so you can unwind, this East Devon spot is a fab base if you’d like to explore the South West. The site offrs spacious pitches, with three heated toilet and shower blocks, as well as a dedicated information room, so you can plan your holiday adventures from the leaflets on display. If you’re travelling en famille, there’s oodles to do on site too, as there’s a play park – and a petting corner with rabbits and guinea pigs – with skittles and table tennis, as well as swings for younger kids. Alternatively, you can just sit back, go with the flow, listen to the birds and enjoy the peaceful countryside views. The four resident donkeys and goats do like the odd carrot, mind you, when you do need to stretch your legs. And by the way, dogs are welcome here, and there’s even a dedicated park for them to have a good old run around off lead. If you enjoy walking or cycling, Woodbury Common is a five-minute walk away, with thousands of acres of common land to explore. You can also walk or cycle to Budleigh Salterton (15 minutes), stop for an ice cream, carry on to Exmouth, then follow the cycle path back to Woodbury – or admit defeat and return by bus.
