Liked: Great sized pitch, clean looked after facilities, launderette, washing up room, olenty if toilets ,sinks and showers (20p to use the showers which lasted enough time for myself and young granddaughter to shower) friendly helpful staff , We liked the quiet after 10.30 policy as having young children help to get them to sleep , Camp site is walking distance to the town and beach or you can use the bus which stops right outside the campsite, Campsite shop sells a few essentials when open which is handy if you have forgotten to bring something Lovely little play park for children to play in whilst you set up etc You can buy coffees tea and other drinks from the lovely lady in her converted horse box who also sells ice creams, candyfloss and cakes It is a lovely campsite, we shall definitely be back with our grandchildren who didn't want to leave because they loved it very soon

Disliked: We have no complaints about anything at the site

Liked: Nice big pitches, friendly reception. Nice play area for the kids and plenty of room to run around. Lovely lady on site selling coffees, cakes, ice cream and candyfloss-great distraction for the kids while we set up camp.

Disliked: Some of the health and safety rules on display seemed a bit strict and over the top.

Liked: Absolutely everything, staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were very modern clean and inviting. Even though you have to pay 20p for the shower it’s all worth it. There was even a dog shower provided. The farm shop next door was amazing breakfast and grow all there own mushrooms

Liked: the site itself is superb...lovely large pitches with full ehu...all management and staff are brilliant very friendly...the shower and toilet block immaculte...all the usual waste facillities very accesable and clean

Liked: Well maintained pitches, good amenity block

Disliked: Paying extra for showers, most pitches had some type of slope on them. Noise from nearby sites playing music. No Wi-Fi.

From the manager: Sorry to read you stay wasn't as you hoped, We find if the wind is in the wrong direction we can hear other parks more than at other times but should always be turned of by 22.30. Unfortunately we only have 9 showers and if we didn't have a 20p charge it would mean there's much more of a que to have a shower as people would spend longer in the shower. Local attractions

Leadstone Camping's location makes it easy to get to most of Devon's attractions and it's simple to get from the site to wherever takes your fancy. Roads are relatively quiet for most of the year apart from in high season. Dawlish Warren is a top place to be in Devon, partly for its safe clean beach and partly for its sand dunes leading onto 500-acre Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve, a hugely popular spot with birdwatchers and botanists. On foot, walk the half mile to the Warren (it's a safe stroll and suitable for prams) or to the South West Coast Path within 10 minutes; it's also half a mile to the Exe Cycle Trail or the circular six-mile Dawlish Discovery Walk. A mile away is the Exe estuary – another top local spot and a hit for fishing, hiking, biking and birdwatching – and the town of Dawlish itself is a mile and a half away: look out for the famous black swans. Also nearby is the harbour and two good pubs at Cockwood, two and a half miles away, and golf at Starcross before taking the ferry from here to Exmouth. Shaldon, seven miles away, has another golf course and can be reached by ferry from the busy resort of Teignmouth. For towns, take off to Exminster (nine miles; more golf), Torquay (10 miles), Newton Abbot (11 miles; racecourse and ancient market), Exeter (13 miles) and Paignton (13 miles; take the steam railway from here to Kingswear and Dartmouth).

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Extras

A charge of £0.20 applies for the use of the shower.
Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

BB guns and generators are not permitted.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Occupancy

The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.

Pitches

You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Open fires are prohibited.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Visitors

Visitors are not permitted on site.

Additional terms

Guests must let the team know before arrival if they will be arriving on site with a twin axle caravan. Please do so using the 'Special request' box when you book.

If your dog has a bark or character that may accidentally upset visitors, please consider leaving your pet with a friend.

American-style RVs are not permitted.

Parents are responsible for their children at all times, which includes following social distancing guidelines.
