  • Family park one mile from Dawlish Warren beach
  • A 35-minute drive from Torquay; pubs within walking distance
  • Indoor swimming pool, adventure playground, soft play, gym and sauna
Staying just a mile away from Dawlish Warren beach sounds pretty neat, doesn't it? Lady’s Mile Holiday has a splendid location on the Devon coast, and what's more, it also has a reel of very tempting facilities… For one, there is a splendid indoor swimming pool for a morning of backstroke or splashing around. During high season, an additional outdoor swimming pool opens up for open-air dips (as long as the weather is good enough). After a nice swim, guests can stay well-fed and well-watered at the on-site restaurant and bar. There are plenty of ways to keep the kids entertained around the park too, from an adventure playground and soft play to the evening entertainment that takes place from March to November. There's a gym on site if you fancy keeping up your workout streak. Otherwise, you're very welcome to laze by the pool or in the sauna instead. For quick dinners, the site has a takeaway. As for other facilities, there are also showers and bathrooms, including a parent and baby washroom. Looking for local eats? There are pubs within a mile's wander of the site, which might prove to be the motivation you need to get off the oh-so-splendid grounds...

What customers say

This is a large, family-friendly holiday park with excellent facilities, including popular indoor and outdoor pools, a range of entertainment, and a well-stocked on-site shop. Pitches are generally spacious and staff are consistently praised for being friendly and helpful. Guests appreciate the convenient location, close to beaches and local attractions. While the majority of reviews are positive, some mention that certain facilities could benefit from updating, and the site can become busy and noisy, particularly during peak times.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The site was very big with the choice of four fields and you could chose your own pitch. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly by us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the facilities were good. The shop prices were reasonable. We loved playing Bingo every night. Always lots of entertainment on for the kids and adults

Disliked Unfortunately some guests didn't follow the rules with dogs and let them run around off the lead when walking around the camp. I also nearly stood in dog poo several times as owners hadn't cleaned this up. The day we went swimming, the pool was over crowded. You couldn't move without bumping into someone. Saw a few horrible accidents with kids falling off their scooters, trying to come down the hill right from the top. Lots of children were unsupervised on the road ( under 8) luckily we crawled up the road in the car, as so many children ran out or rode infront of us on their scooters, no parents in sight.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The campsite and staff were great. Lots to do and lovely entertainment. Reasonable food prices and premier on site which is so cheap. Amazing Oreo cookies there in the chilled counter for £3.50!!
Bingo every night lots to do. Dawlish sea front 10 min walk with arcades, food places and go carts and bars! It’s worth the walk

Disliked The only thing that bugged me was that you weren’t allowed to take photos of your children coming down the slide even though it was just them in the photo. The slide was pointing the complete opposite way of the pool and would be impossible to even catch any other child in the pictures. I asked in reception and they said it was at the life guards discretion but they all said no despite me explaining it was only my children in the pic. I work in a school myself so I understand the pool pictures aren’t allowed where other children who may be protected are present. However I thought it was wrong how I seen other guests video recording and taking photos around the pool where other guests were in but yet I wasn’t allowed to take a pic of my child alone on the slides.
WiFi was shocking. Even in the bar with the free WiFi didn’t work

Electric grass pitch

Liked Variety of activities for children
Booking slots for pools so not too overcrowded
Marquee bar/club house for change of scenery
Shop on site reasonably priced
Arcade
Indoor and outdoor pool

Disliked Really dark/no lighting at all on top field which is very dangerous when walking back to tent/going to the loo.

Food options stopped around 8pm on a Saturday in all bars/restaurants and we’d planned to eat at the bar.

No dog friendly area close to entertainment.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Very clean facilities, regularly maintained and checked. My children loved the indoor and outdoor pools. We brought our 5 month old puppy and there were water bowls in every location possible. The Marquee Bar was great too. Lovely sunsets can be watched from the top of Corpse Field.

Disliked Really loud thoughtless families around us, which spoiled our stay. The site is perfect, but if you end up with families around you who have rude unruly children, it sort of soils it. Perhaps an evening patrol after 9:30pm might be the way forward.

Electric grass pitch

Liked On arrival, seemed ok.
Shop is reasonably priced, Sainsbury's only down the road.

Disliked Showers and toilets need upgrading.
Pools were obviously built when site began, site has expanded , massively not fit for purpose, only allowed 50 minutes per day.
Club house to small and freezing cold.
Play area not monitored, would not allow granddaughters there as some ill mannered and threatening children there, no parental control.
Parental control lacking all over the site.
10 o'clock night time not adhered too..

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely site. Very good facilities. Shower and toilet blocks very clean. Pitched were very big and gave you plenty of space. Easy to walk into Dawlish or Dawlish Warren

Disliked Life guards not very attentive. Steam room not working

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your lovely review Ian and for recommending us! We're so pleased to hear you enjoyed the spacious pitch, clean facilities, and convenient location — it’s great to know you had a comfortable stay and made the most of exploring Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.

We appreciate your feedback regarding the lifeguard attentiveness and will pass this on to the relevant team. The Steam room is being decommissioned, we do still have the sauna available. Thank you again, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Lady’s Mile in the future!

Local attractions

Lady’s Mile is a site for the sea and sand fans, as it’s only a mile from two beaches where you can surf, swim, sail or just unwind. Golf, fishing, horse riding and tennis are all nearby, or you could indulge in a spot of culture and wander around the nearby National Trust properties A la Ronde (35 minutes' drive) and Compton Castle (35 minutes). Want something a little more likely to appeal to the kids? Pack them in the car and take them off to Crealy Great Adventure Park (25 minutes), where they can go gaga on the rides or go wild in the indoor jungle. They might also enjoy seeing the famous black swans along the River Dawlish, bumping along on the seafront railway, or just sticking close to the beach resort with its pirate-themed mini golf, go-karting, amusements and rides.
