Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked We absolutely loved this site. We have a VW T4 and took the brave move to travel at the end of October with a storm! The view from our camper was stunning when the sun shone. The facilities block was lovely and so cosy. Coupled with electric hook up, hard standing and WiFi we were very happy. We used the bus to Dartmouth just outside the neighbouring site. There is no sign but the bus does stop. We also walked down but the road is a little dangerous and fast. We should have used the fields. A big thank you to Abi and good luck, fab site. We will be back. 😁

Electric optional gravel touring pitch

Liked Layout and overall look with superb views over the country side from every pitch. The new facilities block is very good and works as it should. The new site will be a boon to Dartmouth as it settles in and all the planting takes a real hold.

Electric optional grass and gravel pitch

Liked Very spacious, Immaculate facilities. A lovely quiet area with mountain views.
We loved the added benefit of the secure dog field, which was easy to access.
Water tap at each plot.
I did ask for a position closer to the facilities block due to health issues and We needed to arrive at a date later than planned, this was easy to communicate and this was no issue. All our needs were met.
We pitched a tent on a grassed area with an additional gravel area and would recommend others to take stronger pegs than standard if this is your plan. We were prepared from past experiences.

Local attractions

There are multiple areas to explore at Woodlands Family Theme Park (five minutes’ drive), so if the kids (or you…) are into testing your agility skills, you might want to check out the Ninja Zone, with climbing walls and net bridges; if you’re into thrills, the Cyclone Canyon Zone has watercoasters and toboggan runs. There are also falconry displays and a zoo farm. The harbour at Brixham (25 minutes) is home to a full-size replica of the Golden Hind, the 16th-century galleon that sailed around the world under Sir Francis Drake. Walk along the Brixham Breakwater, which stretches half a mile into Tor Bay, for expansive views of the town. Dartmoor National Park (half an hour) has plenty of top spots where you can indulge your active passions, whether you’re into hiking, cycling, horse riding or canoeing. Otters, bats and cuckoo birds are among the many wildlife species inhabiting the park’s open moorlands, bogs and woodland.
