Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Close ish to the beach.
Disliked: Very tall hedges surrounding the campsite meaning less sunshine and not being able to see the beach / sea despite how close we were

From the manager: I know what you mean. I gave a great hotel in Spain 6 out of 10 because it didn't have a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Lol. X.

Electric optional gravel motorhome pitch (maximum 7 metres)
Liked: Walking distance to village and beach. Pitches well drained and level. Bottom field very close to village centre with shops and pubs, so could hear music from pubs in evenings, as music is not allowed on site.
Disliked: Facilities were in a Cow shed rough slated wood floor. No glass in windows in shower area, hence 9c in mornings. Water was only luke warm Thus unable to use showers. Lots Rules not enforced they say no groups and noise after 21:00, around 20:00 Friday evening a white van & 7 cars with 14 occupants arrived and parked within 30 feet of us. At 23:00 they decided to put up 8 tents and spent over an hour slamming car doors and calling to each other! The facilities are not inspected or cleaned for days at a time, with large toiletry bins overflowing onto floor.

From the manager: I am sorry you had this experience. I wish you had mentioned any of this to me. It's rare and unfortunate that people set up late. They are not supposed to. They arrived on time and obviously had poor awareness of others later on. Our facilities receive great reviews and again it's very rare that a bin is forgotten. During quiet periods it can happen that hot water must be run for a while to bring it through. We live on site and closely monitor noise and cleaning so we will try to do even better in future.

Electric optional grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Great experience from the start. Really nice welcome and clear instructions from reception. Comfortable and safe stay as a solo female traveller, from a really well ran campsite. 10 minute walk down to the the beach so perfect location for the whole family. Quiet site so there was even plenty of wildlife in the mornings and evenings which was really nice to see.
Disliked: Not ideal wifi signal from the bottom field. But we don’t camp to be on our phones! 😊
