  • Peaceful site on a smallholding five miles from Bideford
  • Wakeboarding park, surf lessons and amusement parks a short drive away
  • Alpacas, goats and horses to meet on site
Park yourself here for easy access to smashing Devon beaches, the South West Coast Path and the Tarka Trail cycle path, plus watersports lessons and kid-friendly visitor attractions such as The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Atlantis Adventure Park and Quince Honey Farm. Set within a properly peaceful smallholding, Broad Park Camping and Glamping is a warm and friendly park five miles west of the handsome and historic harbour town of Bideford, where there are independent shops, restaurants serving up local produce, and a pretty riverside quay. While the site lies a handy mile or so off of the A39, it's quiet around this splendid spot. Amenities are well thought out: there's a kitchenette with a microwave, a kettle, a toaster, a fridge and a freezer, in a room with cards, board games and tourist info leaflets. Milk, fizzy drinks, bottled water, chocolate and locally made luxury ice creams can all be bought at the site's small honesty shop. Foodwise, if you want to grill up a gourmet feast, barbecues are allowed; fire baskets are also available for hire, and kindling and logs are available to buy on site for toasty campfires under the north Devon night sky. Friendly dogs are welcome here at Broad Park but must be kept on a lead at all times; for a list of all the dog-friendly beaches nearby, just ask your cordial hosts, who'll be more than happy to oblige.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Everything about this campsite is great! It’s small so not overcrowded. The facilities are clean, the amenities room with its little shop are great. We hired a firebowl which is a great extra. Our second visit to this campsite and won’t be our last.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked I thought this site was idyllic. Haven't stopped talking about it to others since we arrived home. Very quiet. Camped next to alpacas, goats and horses. All the facilities ( toilets, showers and amenities room very clean and well looked after). Our 2 grand dogs also very happy there.

Disliked We were there during a quiet period in June. During busier school holiday periods I would imagine the facilities could get extremely busy. There's only 1 washing up sink , could do with at least one more. There's 2 showers and again these probably get busy.

From the manager: Thanks so much for the lovely review, I t’s really appreciated and thank you for coming to stay. 🥰 With reference to your dislikes, to be honest we’ve never had any complaints that the facilities aren’t enough in our busy period so never felt the need to change it 😊

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Peaceful location, very beautiful with bonus added of the llamas and pigmy goats!

Toilets and facilities really clean.

Very nice vibes, with picnic benches and hook up close to each pitch.

Really liked how small it was, unlike some campsites we have been to where you are in a sea of trailers.

Good shop with honesty box for logs etc!

Would come again

Disliked Nothing!

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Site was very quiet. Amenities were ample. Showers nice and hot.Single male toilet could be a problem if site was busy but not a problem as I was only camper on site. Close enough for food. 2.5 mile walk across footpaths to local centre.Good wifi.

Disliked Smoke from shepherds huts log burners could be a problem if wind blowing the wrong way. But that’s only a minor issue.

From the manager: Thank you so much, very appreciated, glad you enjoyed your time here, thanks for coming to stay 🤩

Local attractions

Be sure to bring your buckets, spades and beach towels, because you're going to be getting a lot of beach action with a stay here: just outside the Hartland Heritage Coast, the site gives you very easy access to miles of spectacular coastline and award-winning beaches – a short drive will bring you to the sands and sea of Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Appledore, Hartland and Saunton Sands. Also nearby is North Devon Wake Park, where you can get wakeboarding lessons and bounce, slip, slide and clamber on the aqua park’s trampolines, slides, logs, running mats and climbing frames. Surfing lessons can also be had over at Westward Ho! nearby. There’s a wealth of fun places to take little bloomers to within easy reach too: The Big Sheep, The Milky Way, Atlantis Adventure Park and the buzztastic Quince Honey Farm, where you can investigate the lives of bees through interactive exhibits housing more than 20 colonies using bee cams and looking glasses. If you’re into long walks along scenic coastline, Broad Park Camping and Glamping is near the South West Coast Path, or if you're more of a pedally person the Tarka Trail is nearby too; bikes are available to rent locally if you don't bring your own.
