  • South West Coast Path 15 minutes’ drive; Lyme Regis 20 minutes
  • On-site restaurant and bar with gin menu; hot tub; dog park
In a privileged position between the East Devon, Blackdown Hills and Dorset national landscapes, Hill Farm is a pop-up site stretching across 100 acres of glorious Devon countryside, a five-minute drive from Axminster. You might think that putting you within easy access of those three protected areas in the South West would be Hill Farm’s best selling point, but you’d be mistaken. This site goes one step further by sitting high on a hill, giving its guests far-reaching views over the Axe valley and the Jurassic Coast. Non-electric grass pitches for motorhomes sit on a vast camping field, next to a dog park for your four-legged buddy. There is restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus afternoon teas (just remember to load up your scones the Devon way while you’re here: cream first, then jam) and a cosy bar with an outdoor patio (and plenty of seating) and a gin menu that might take repeated visits to the site to complete. After scrambling up hills or walking through woodland (or along the South West Coast Path, accessed from Seaton, 15 minutes’ drive), you might want to end the day with a refreshing swim at a local beach – whether Seaton, Charmouth (15 minutes) or Lyme Regis (20 minutes) – or with a relaxing soak in the wood-fired hot tub (but do book in advance).
