Small, peaceful and simple are the watchwords at Norwood Certificated Location, a touring site with grass pitches for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only (plus their kids and any dogs, of course). It’s on the outskirts of Rock in Cornwall, and staying here all puts you within 10 minutes’ drive of its namesake beach as well as the sands at Polzeath.
There are basic amenities only on site, so please note there are no showers or toilet blocks. Along with a rubbish and recycling point, the site has chemical disposal, fresh running water and electric hook-ups for the pitches. Otherwise, you’ll need to fend for yourself, so your tourer must be self-contained.
You can find supermarkets for stocking up in Wadebridge (10 minutes). On those nights when you’d appreciate someone else doing the catering for you, it’s a mere 20 minutes’ walk to all the pubs, cafés and eateries in Rock – just please bear in mind that they get very busy so booking is essential.

At least one of the party members must be aged 21 or over.- This site only accepts bookings from existing Caravan and Motorhome Club members: please provide your membership number in the 'Special requests' box when booking.
- Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
- Bookings must not consist of more than 2 different households.
- No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Local attractions
Around the smart little enclave of Rock (20 minutes’ walk), you can bask on the sandy beach, play golf on the links course at St Enodoc (five minutes’ drive), go sailing or hire an outboard and putter around the Camel Estuary. You can also catch the Black Tor ferry (10 minutes) across the estuary to Padstowe (otherwise it’s half an hour by road) if you feel like sampling the village’s famed seafood restaurants.
Also 10 minutes’ drive away is Polzeath Beach and all its watersports options: wave hunters can hone their surfing skills, while paddleboarding, sea kayaking and coasteering are all available. If you’d rather stick to dry land, meet up with the South West Coast Path in Rock.
If kids are with you, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park (25 minutes) is a good bet for a day on roundabouts and rollercoasters, while you can all have fun on the waterslides slides at Giant Slip and Slide Cornwall (20 minutes).
