Visitors praise the friendly and helpful owners, the quirky and well-maintained facilities including compost toilets and wood-fired showers, and the tranquil atmosphere. The site is considered a great location for exploring Cornwall. A few guests noted pitches can be on a slope and advised checking for flatter spots. Beautiful, simple, camping as it should be.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautifully peaceful campsite with genuinely lovely hosts. A relaxed stay in a stunning setting, surrounded by nature, a perfect place to get away and enjoy a simple night under the stars. We were travelling on motorbikes and received a warm welcome, and appreciated tips on routes and places to visit. Simple facilities, and off grid so no WiFi or electric, but for us camping is about getting away from all that and back to basics for a few nights. Definitely one we'll return to in the future.

Liked The campsite was so quiet and peaceful.
The owners Nigel and Lisa were very friendly and helpful.
We used the wood fired shower which was absolutely amazing.
Yes the pitches are on a bit of a slope as some others have pointed out in there reviews, there are flat spots about if you look and lye on the floor before pitching you can find them.

A nice quiet campsite for this…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A nice quiet campsite for this time of year really close to wadebridge for anything you might need whilst you are staying here. The trees surrounding the property provide a haven for lots of wildlife that frequent the area. The Mill Valley hosts are very friendly people with a wealth of local knowledge and experiences and are also incredibly relaxed and welcoming, always happy to help where they can.
Disliked Packing up and coming home.

Cracking nights sleep, good vibes.
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Total peace and quiet. Good location. Quirky and friendly. Handmade and very rustic. Eco friendly. Friendly campers just getting back to nature. Lovely horse to say hello to.A world away from the big campsites, this is back to basic. Loved the shower, but would prefer to pay more and have the wood provided, as I had no cash so had a cold shower - not a problem in this week's weather though!
I had a lovely walk, although the river was largely obscured my himalayas balsam it was a beautiful wander listening to the sounds of the water, and the birds. After a cracking night's sleep I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated.
Nice communication before arrival too.
Disliked The rickety fence and stile to the loo. I have a bad back so climbing over this in the dark onto uneven ground wasn't my thing, a little reinforcing and something like a post to steady yourself would be great. . When I arrived I wasnt sure which facilities I was meant to use. Also cos of the fences I wasn't quite sure if things like the tables and bbq were things I could use or not? A couple of rustic signs would sort this
