What customers say
This campsite offers beautiful sea views and ample space, with many visitors praising the friendly and helpful owner, Sally. Facilities are generally clean, though some mention they are basic and that there can be queues for the limited toilets and showers, particularly during busy periods. The location is ideal for exploring local attractions like Tintagel Castle and St Nectan's Glen, with many walks accessible directly from the site. Campfires are permitted, and fire pits can be hired.

Too basic for the price
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Good location, walking distance to a lovely cove and coastal paths. Views were perfect looking out to sea. Owner was friendly, allowed us to park late on the next day whilst we went for a walk.
Disliked However, would not recommend. No flat arrears to pitch up, more like camping in a field rather than a basic site. Toilet and shower facilities are strange, unisexed with cubicles don’t go to the floor, made me feel uncomfortable sharing with the opposite sex hence not using the showers. Needs a bit more development in this area

Great location and would visit again.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Nice big open field with grate views out to sea. Toilets and showers were clean and tidy. But would recommend wearing flip flops in the shower.
Would definitely stay again as there is plenty of things to go and see.

Little Clifden Campsite – A Peaceful Gem with Stunning Views
We had a truly lovely stay at Little Clifden Campsite. The field itself was beautifully maintained — the grass was freshly mowed and clearly well looked after, giving the whole site a tidy and inviting feel. Although the pitch area is slightly sloping, it’s gentle enough not to cause any issues when setting up camp.
One of the highlights was waking up to the gentle sound of cows mooing in the distance — a charming reminder that you’re surrounded by nature. Sitting with our morning coffee and looking out at the sweeping views of the sea from the field was the perfect way to start the day.
Sally, the campsite owner, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even apologising for not replying to a text message — which she really didn’t need to do, as she had a personal appointment that day. Her thoughtfulness was appreciated, and her relaxed, approachable manner made everything easy.
We were able to hire a fire pit along with wood and kindling from Sally at a very reasonable price, which added a lovely touch to our evenings. Sitting around the fire with that view — hard to beat.
Facilities-wise, the site offers three toilets and two coin-operated showers. Both were spotlessly clean — genuinely impressive for a rural campsite. The showers require 50p coins, but this wasn’t a problem at all and shouldn’t put anyone off. Everything worked smoothly, and the cleanliness made the experience feel much better than expected.
It was quiet during our visit, so we can’t speak to how busy the facilities might get at peak times, but for us, it was peaceful and relaxed — just what we were hoping for.
All in all, Little Clifden is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for a laid-back, scenic escape with excellent facilities and a warm welcome. We’d happily return.

Excellent site, simplistic in design and easy to find everything.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Great sea view, clean facilities, zero light pollution to view the galaxy and shooting stars.
Disliked Nothing to “dislike”. Constructive feedback would be to have a sign to make it clear if the water is drinkable (we went for it anyway and were completely fine).

Ok
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked Nice view, lots of space
Disliked Showers operate with 2 x 50 pence only. Would be nice to know that in advance e.g. via booking confirmation email to avoid another trip to hunt down some change

Very basic, needs facility improvement.
Non-electric grass touring pitch
Liked The views of the sea and the location of the camping are astonishing. In 10 minute walk on the footpath you are at St. Nectan’s park. In 30 minute walk you are in Tintagel.
Disliked There is only one block of 3 toilets and 2 showers which can get crowded since the camping can host many people.
