Go much further west than Ryn Gwari Farm Campsite and you’d be falling into the Atlantic. This pop-up site is on a family-run smallholding five minutes’ drive from the small town of St Just; it sits on a hilltop with far-reaching views over the ocean towards the Isles of Scilly. The family-sized pitches are spaced out across a two-acre field, and while you’re there, you’re likely to meet the dog, sheep, ponies and a very friendly farm cat.
With no electricity, this place ticks all the boxes for anyone who likes to keep things simple; it’s a quiet site designed for families or adults looking to chill and dodge the crowds. However, the owners do love a gathering round the campfire (there’s always wood available to light a fire), so you’re welcome to join in the fun and make new friends if you feel like it.
There are loos and showers in wooden huts at the top of the field, and water is available for the washing-up sink. You have direct access to the moorland behind the farm, and St Just has shops, pubs and cafés. If you need help at all, there’s normally someone around during the day to answer questions and help you plan circular walks from the smallholding.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.- Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
- Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
- Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
