  • CAMC members-only site at a handy mid-Cornwall location
  • Newquay beaches and the Eden Project within half an hour's drive
  • Two miles from the A30; easy vehicle access through a wide gate
If you’re planning to see as much of Cornwall as you can during your break, it stands to reason that a location right in the middle of the county is a very handy place to be – especially if you can manage to be close to an A road at the same time. And that’s exactly what you’ll get when you pick a pitch at Mid Cornwall Camping Certified Location… this site is about five minutes’ drive from the A30 at Indian Queens and pretty much equidistant between the north and south coasts. It’s a location that puts you within easy reach of all sorts of Cornwall attractions, including beaches, historic sites and major attractions like the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan (all within a half-hour drive). This is a small site that’s reserved for Caravan and Motorhome Club members only, so it’s usually a pretty peaceful place where you’ll be among like-minded guests. Pitches have been set up specifically with tourers in mind, so they’re solid and well-spaced with all the essential amenities (including water and electric connections) provided. No worries about getting your vehicle into place, either – the gateway into the site is more than 8 metres wide for easy manoeuvres. Kids and dogs are welcome at this site, and the latter will be able to run around safely at the fenced dog run area. Barbecues and campfires are permitted, with picnic tables provided and supplies available at several nearby shops or in St Austell (20 minutes’ drive). A pub with food is two miles away in St Dennis.

What customers say

This is a friendly, clean, and well-maintained small site with level, fully serviced pitches, each including a picnic table. Its central location is ideal for exploring Cornwall. Owners are noted for being exceptionally helpful and accommodating, even providing extra long pipes and windbreaks during stays. A dedicated dog enclosure is also available. Some minor road noise was reported early morning and late evening, though quiet at night and weekends.

Liked What a gem of a site, we loved it there. We were visiting family in Bodmin, only 15 minutes away but is an ideal central site for exploring Cornwall. We found it to be a relaxing time away and a nice touch was that each pitch had a picnic table. The family that runs it are so friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure a happy stay. The site was spotless at all times, we have added it to one of our favourite sites.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked Excellent CL, well laid out, hard standing pitches. Excellent shower, constant hot water.

Disliked The only downside is that the pitches have a road directly behind them. Even though it’s only a B road, it gets very busy first thing in the morning (people going to work) but also commercial lorries going past from about 6am.

From the manager: Hi Mark, thanks for your review, nice to see you'll be wanting to stay again. Unfortunately during your stay the CERC were undergoing a major one off refurbishment.
Safe travels on your further stay in Cornwall.

Liked Just got back from a weeks stay at mid cornwall camping CL.
This site is a well maintained site with the owners being meticulous in the maintenance and the design and they care about their customers.
Hard standings are long enough to take an 8m caravan with vehicle in front and wide enough for an awning along side. There is also a grassed area to the side with a picnic bench.
The site is easily accessed from the A30 via about 2 miles of good roads and is located perfectly to allow access to the whole of Cornwall.

Disliked Nothing to dislike

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch (members only)

Liked Nice clean site. On pitch water and Electric. Grey waste by water tap which is handy but was too far for our water pipes. Site owners said they had long pipes if we needed but as we were only there one night we made do.

Disliked Very close to the road and lorry noise early but not too bad.
