  • Level five-acre Cornwall site five minutes’ drive from St Agnes beach
  • A 10-minute drive from Perranporth and Chapel Porth beaches
  • Views of St Agnes Beacon; 15 minutes’ walk to a pub
Keen to spend some days surfing or rockpooling with your children? Pack your bags and set off for Sun Circle Meadows… not forgetting your surfboards, crab lines or bucket and spades, of course. With easy access from the B3285 (half a mile away), this flat five-acre site has heaps of space and lovely views of St. Agnes Beacon. This site is a five-minute drive from St Agnes beach for the aforementioned surfing and rockpooling, and it's also a 10-minute drive from the beaches at Perranporth beach and Chapel Porth. Pick up the South West Coast Path at any of these three spots for a wild wander along Cornwall’s coast. For easy outings, a bus stop is 15 minutes’ walk away from the site, with connections to St Agnes, Perranporth, Newquay, Truro and Falmouth. There are walks around the site too, including a 15-minute route that takes you to a pub with a beer garden. St Agnes and Perranporth both also have great places to eat and drink, whether you want a traditional Cornish pasty, a coffee or a meal in a small restaurant or country pub. Small, off grid and family run, Sun Circle Meadows has simple facilities including two toilets, two hot showers and three washing-up sinks, plus a small shop selling basic provisions. A large field has been put aside for car parking, with guests also welcome to use part of the field for a game of badminton, volleyball or frisbee. Around the pitches there's plenty more space for guests to relax and play games.

Sun Circle Meadows is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and excellent, well-maintained facilities including hot showers and toilets. Reviewers highlight the flat, spacious pitches and the site's convenient rural location, offering easy access to the Truro and Falmouth areas, beaches, and a nearby pub. Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Really useful site. We were the only campervan there. No problem that it was off grid as had good toilets and very lovely hot shower. All clean and well tended. Standpipe with hose near the loos and good washing up facilities. Location is central for Truro, Falmouth area. Pitches are level but grass. No hard standing. Having said this, even after the biblical amount of rain Jan/Feb we had no trouble moving our long wheelbase Sprinter on and off the site- although the turning in from the Chacewater direction is VERY tight and required a bit of manoeuvring. The chap I spoke to was helpful and polite and human (which I like - not a fan of AI chatbots!) I would definitely recommend if you like peaceful, no frills natural sites at all very good price.

Local attractions

The nearby stretch of coastline – known as the St Agnes Heritage Coast – is packed with lovely little corners to explore, including the chance to see remnants of the area’s industrial past at Wheal Coates tin mine and the sandy Porthtowan beach (both 10 minutes’ drive). Climb St Agnes Beacon (10 minutes) for sweeping views along the coast and across the countryside. Elsewhere along the north coast, you may like to spend the day in Newquay (25 minutes), with its surf schools, aquarium and zoo, or head to St Ives (35 minutes) for art galleries and boat trips to Seal Island. Meanwhile, the south coast offers up places like Falmouth (35 minutes), with a historic harbour and tours of Pendennis Castle, or the fishing village of Mevagissey (45 minutes). Turning sights inland, you could head to Truro (20 minutes) for its cathedral and shows at Hall for Cornwall, or wander through the themed plant-filled biomes of the Eden Project (50 minutes).
