- Set in the beautiful grounds of a well-established Cornish garden
- Get closer to nature in a garden spa retreat and wildlife haven
- A calming environment for you to relax and unwind
Tucked away just beyond the gateway to Cornwall, at The Lowarth you can choose our cosy pod, Juniper, or the upcycled Cornish quarry wagon, Redwood. Both are perfect for a peaceful Cornish getaway, with comfy beds, homemade furnishings and plenty of room to sit and relax. Take time to absorb the stunning surroundings of the garden or go exploring for the day deep into the Cornish countryside.
The Lowarth has been designed to provide an all-encompassing glamping experience at your fingertips: from the upcycled firepit, where you can toast marshmallows and stargaze, to the on-site spa, where you can book bespoke treatment packages. The spa also houses the garden's washroom which has a shower, toilet and basin.
Seasonal home-grown produce is available and can be hand-picked on site. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and amazing wildlife that surrounds you: deer, owls, buzzards and plenty of rabbits can all be seen.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Heading from Saltash on the A388 north towards Callington, half way between the villages of Hatt and St Mellion, look for a road sign to North Sillaton. Turn left off the main road into a Cornish lane and drive for a quarter of a mile until you reach the first house on your left. You have reached the glampsite.
The bus stop is one mile away, at Paynters Cross. The train station is in Saltash town centre, four miles away. Pick-ups and drop-offs can be requested in the special requests box on the booking form.
Nearby the glampsite you can find Sillaton Farm Stables, the Cornish Maize Maze (seasonal opening dates), Pentille Castle, St Mellion Golf and the many local walks to explore the countryside.
Other attractions to visit nearby include the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, Plymouth Gin Distillery, the Eden Project, Canoe Tamar and the National Trust buildings – Saltram House, Anthony's House, Lanhydrock House, Buckland Abbey and Castle Drogo.
Recommended places to visit nearby are Crocadon Mill, Cotehele Estate, Looe, Polperro, Whitsand Bay and Rame Head. It is also worth visiting Tavistock (for the Tavistock pannier market), Lostwithiel (for lovely antiques), Fowey (a pretty waterside village), Tintagel and Boscastle.
Nearby places to eat:
Rod and Line Inn - excellent fresh food (especially the seafood), roaring fire, great atmosphere, very friendly and relaxed, often live music which is always a treat.
Who’d Have Thought It Inn - welcoming country pub that offers great food, local ales, cider and wine. Menu consists of a variety of delicious classic pub dishes, all homemade using locally sourced ingredients and an ever changing specials board using the best seasonal produce.
Just Be Wine Lounge - an exciting new venture on Saltash waterfront. Offers outstanding customer service, great coffee, fine wine, and grazing menu.
At The Lowarth we also offer a food hamper including locally sourced products such as sausages, bacon, homemade bread, jams and cake. We can source local produce and homegrown/made foods.
Guests can also source their own food. Hatt is a five-minute drive away and has a shop for all your basics. Our larger shops are Waitrose and Lidl in Saltash which are both a 10-minute drive, or Tesco in Callington which is about a 15-minutes drive.
