We’re a small, quiet site with just 2 glamping pitches - a shepherds hut and a gypsy caravan - sorry no tents or caravans. Ooh La La (the shepherd's hut) and Poppet (the gypsy caravan) both sleep 2 people – book individually or as a pair – ideal for two couples holidaying together. Although the owners have a dog, they do not allow visitors to bring dogs as there are ducks and chickens around, which may prove too tempting for some! Young children are not allowed as there are open pond areas on the site. Facilities Ooh La La and Poppet share cooking and bathroom facilities. The shower room is built within a classic style van and is fully insulated, with instant lighting, heated towel rail, curved shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. The chill-out area, where guests can cook and relax is due to be completed in April 2014 and is a glass fronted timber lodge looking out over the gardens. Supplied with electric cooker, fridge, cupboard, workspace area, TV and additional WC and hand basin. A table top BBQ is also supplied. All separate units are well lit and linked by level paved areas. Ooh La La and Poppet both have electricity, as well as a log burner for chillier nights, and some outdoor furniture. Bed linen is supplied but guests are asked to bring their own towels and tea towels (or hire them from Duchy Holidays). You can also order welcome hampers from Duchy Holidays to save you a trip to the supermarket when you arrive. Have you ever been to a campsite with a 1300’ miniature train track in the grounds?! The wooded grounds are beautiful in the spring with bluebells, and wildflowers in the summer, and there is a large pond with ducks and fish. A perfect place to escape the hustle bustle and get back to nature.
