Liked This place has everything to offer and I would highly recommend it. If you are looking for a quite and peaceful place with spectacular views, close to a beautiful trail that leads you to the nearest beach, this is the place for you. Craig and Nyrene are an amazing team who work really hard to maintain this place. They gave us a warm welcome and guided us to the best places nearby which made this experience incredible for us. We are definitely coming back and would highly recommend this place.

What customers say

This is a highly recommended, well-maintained campsite praised for its peace, cleanliness, and excellent location. Guests consistently highlight the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of the owner, Craig, often mentioning complimentary welcome gifts. Pitches are described as spacious and level, with caravans and facilities noted as very clean. While most guests had no dislikes, some experienced Wi-Fi issues and noted muddy conditions during periods of heavy rain. The site's proximity to Perranporth and scenic walks is a significant draw.

Liked Craig was such a wonderful host. He gave directions over the phone prior to arrival, making the campsite easy to find and was then extremely welcoming when we arrived. He gave us so much information about the area and maps to help us find what was around.
The campsite was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The toilets and shower area was clean and tidy. Would definitely stay again.

Disliked Nothing at all.

Vista 3 bedroom static caravan (seven person)

Liked A very lovely holiday park, the caravan we stayed in was very modern and comfortable.

Craig was brilliant, helped us when we arrived late and responded quickly if we had a questions when we were onsite.

Disliked Only minor negative was the wifi was down, and we didn’t know before we arrived. The reason this was a bit of an issue was I needed to work remotely for a couple of the afternoons during our stay so had to arrange to work elsewhere. Unfortunately the mobile signal was also not strong enough to hotspot. When asked Craig was helpful and provided some local options.

Electric grass pitch

Liked A very warm welcome from Craig., who was very helpful. The site is very well kept in a beautiful and peaceful location. We had a choice of a couple of pitches, both with good access to facilities. I used the wetroom, which is spacious and spotlessly clean. Perranporth is only a half an hour walk away, mainly on footpaths. Or there is a pub about a 15 minute walk away. Thank you Craig for a lovely stay on your site.

Beachcomber 2 bedroom static caravan (XL)

Liked Lovely quiet campsite. Can walk to beach down country lanes and has shop with everything and lovely inn close by. Walkable distance. Caravan so clean. Freezer fridge. Shower and bathroom fantastic. Dog friendly. Lovely, friendly on site manager who welcomed us with cream teas. Could not fault and will definitely stay again. Perfect to visit St ives, padstow, Truro, st Austell, Newquay, Charlestown. Had a fantastic time and so nice to come back to caravan and just relax. No Wi-Fi but wasn’t a problem. I could still get 4g on phone so ok for catch up and social media. Tele in bedroom and living room with freeview. Would highly recommend if you just want to switch off. Little park for kids but as out season only saw 2. But all balconies overlook so ideal.

Disliked Older kids wanted Wi-Fi but I quite njoyed break

Local attractions

The beaches at Perranporth are less than two miles from Reen Cross Campsite and, along with Newquay, are top foamy spots for north Cornwall surfing and kitesurfing. Drop into the tourist office to get discount vouchers for the local surf schools if you'd like to learn how to board. Perranporth is also home to the gigs and pints of The Watering Hole, the only UK pub to be set right on the sands, and like all the seaside towns around Cornwall has easy access to the South West Coast Path, the spectacular 630-mile trail running from Minehead in Somerset along the Cornwall and Devon coasts down to Poole Harbour in Dorset. From Perranporth, hike to Newquay in one direction or to St Agnes or Portreath in the other; all places have provisions for pitstops for traversing further should you and your feet wish. Highly viewsome teeing off at Perranporth Golf Club is about a mile away; horse riding stables within the same distance, and a play park and football field are close to the site. Within easy driving distance are days out at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, Newquay's Holywell Bay Fun Park, the Lappa Valley Steam Railway, and DairyLand Farmworld, the award-winning attraction near Newquay.
