General

  • Clean, quiet, family-run campsite on the Land's End peninsula
  • On-site off licence, shop and take-away facilities
  • Close to coastal footpaths

Off to Cornwall? Fancy a lush Land’s End retreat, surrounded by spectacular scenery and with easy access to piles of crackingly handsome coastal footpaths? Give Treverven Touring Caravan and Camping Park a try.

This is a peaceful, clean, relaxed and family-run place on the Land’s End peninsula, hidden away enough to be a quiet retreat in busy summer months, but close to the beaches and towns of this part of Cornish coast. (Porthcurno is less than two miles away and Sennen Cove within four.)

Along with its spectacular scenery and easy coast path access, Treverven has the Croust House kitchen and takeaway open in high season (please bring along your own cutlery and plates), and a well-stocked site shop selling all essentials from bread, milk and baked beans to camping gas and phone and laptop chargers. Chilled wine and beer is on sale too for evening barbies.

Treverven also has a central play area with swings, a slide, a sandpit, basketball hoops and a football goal; modern toilets and showers sorted with hairdryers, and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.

Great camping site with spacious pitches and very well located04/09/2019

Treverven was a great place to camp. This was our very first family camping and we chose the right place for it. The camping is clean, grass cut frequently and the pitches are spacious enough for a big tent and your car leaving a little space on both sides for privacy. The showers were cleaned regularly and although a bit outdated they served their purpose. Toilets have extra wash basins for tooth brushing in case showers are full. There is an accessible toilet that families with young children can use. The playground is a lovely and well equipped place for children, also, pretty spacious as well. There is a small shop on site where you can get basics and there is a fridge and separate freezer in the communal area where you can store your food. Only dairy can go in the fridge but you can put a couple of ice packs in the freezer to use in your cool bag in case you have meat products with you. There are plenty of washing up places and water is hot on tap. Staff are very friendly and helpful on site.
The camp site is very well located for the Coastal Path as it's right next to it. Penzance is easily accessible so are all the touristic sites such as Lands End, Sennen Cove, Porthcurno Beach, The Minack Theatre.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Treverven and I can thoroughly recommend it to anybody.

    Disliked:

I would put one more fridge in the communal area as that can pack up pretty quick. Also, fridge was unstable and it wasn't clean. It had a rotten milky smell and there was butter(?) poured all over the shelves. There was a kettle but there wasn't a toaster.

Have stayed at a lot of campsites in Cornwall, never been to one like this. The owners sit in a glass box off reception watching everything going on! We saw the owner come and shout at people on more than one occasion. Did not feel friendly or welcoming!!! We had older children but if I had younger ones the play area is not sectioned off from the road coming in, children playing very close to cars! Not enough toilets or showers had to queue every time, I’m aware it’s a busy month but never had this before. Cannot get onto there Wifi at all and no phone signal

Would not recommend. Rude staff.29/08/2019

Staff were rude and really unhelpful. I never ever leave negative feedback but the whole experience from start to finish was terrible. We arrived to check in and were totally ignored. The lady then proceeded to answer the phone and have a conversation for 5 minutes with what seemed like a friend, not a customer. After that, she barely said two words, gave us a form to sign and told us our pitch number. No directions. No information on facilities. Just down right rude. Which is disappointing for a family campsite in a lovely area. Like I say, I never leave negative feedback but manners cost nothing.

Local attractions

Treverven Touring Caravan and Camping Park is in highly nifty locale for settling down among and getting to some of the most topping spots in Cornwall, away from busy tourist resorts but with easy access to some smashing beaches.

Pednovander, Porthcurno, Porrthgwara, Porthchapel and Sennen Cove are all within five miles of the site; for evenings out, the Minack Theatre is three and a half miles away and two decent pubs are within two miles. Also within easy reach for day trips are magnif St Michaels Mount and Penzance, both within about eight miles.

Miles of coastal path are around the site too: from Porthcurno past the Minack and via a couple of dog-friendly pubs, or along to the tiny fishing cove of Porthgwarra, a birdwatching haven where you’ll be able to spot gannets, fulmars and possibly a red kite or two circling round overhead.
