Good location near Padstow and Newquay.
Toilet and shower block was good.

    Disliked:

Personally wouldnt stay at this site again.
Ground was full of dirt and rocks so trouble putting up tent.
    Nothing to do onsite.
Spaces was very close together and overlooked eachothers space.
Got shown to our pitch not chosen.
Was near water and all one side of our tent was unhooked due to people waling too close (our guide ropes was still in within our pitch....)

From the manager...

Hi

We're sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We only have 10 Tent pitches as we are a very small park. Our tent pitches are 9M x 9M and we cant make them any bigger. We show people to their pitches to prevent people over lapping. Most people prefer to be near the water so i'm sorry this was an inconvenience to you. If you would like to come back another time we can offer you a pitch away from the water. We've had very sunny weather the past few weeks so the ground does get hard but the pitches are not stoney. We do not advertise on Pitchup that we have entertainment. All of our customers go to the beach all day and then come back to chill. It a very quiet park.

Local attractions

You’d need weeks to get around even some of the attractions and activities around this stretch of north Cornish coast… and that’s without even turning sights southwards to the likes of Falmouth…

After your week or so on the sands of the seven nearby bays, have an inland day along the Camel Trail, the 14-mile traffic-free path from Wadebridge to Bodmin. Bikes (including trailer bikes to take toddlers) can be hired at several points along the trail. If the kids find that a tad too tame, a go-kart circuit within 10 minutes’ drive is the karting spot for three to six year olds.

Among the many other options within easy reach are Newquay Zoo, the town’s Pirates Quest or the Blue Reef Aquarium (all 30 minutes), Tintagel Castle (45 minutes), or a grownup outing to the National Trust’s Bedruthan Steps, 15 minutes away. Another grownup option is a tour and tasting at the award-winning Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm (35 minutes) – although as there’s a farm park here as well, the kids can come along too.

Must see

  • Cornwall's Crealy Great Adventure Park (2.7 miles)
  • Rock Beach (4.2 miles)
  • Newquay Zoo (7.3 miles)

National Trust

  • Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps (2.4 miles)
  • Trerice (8.4 miles)
