  • Pitches across 27 acres of parkland in Cornwall
  • Within walking distance of St Merryn; a couple miles from beaches
  • Well-stocked licensed shop and a bar-café on site
'Seven Bays for Seven Days' is the tempting proposition at Atlantic Bays Holiday Park near Padstow. Whether you’re into surfing, rockpooling or sandcastles, there is a good choice of beaches within a few miles of this peaceful, green site. The pitches are spread across 27 acres of parkland, and handily, all the necessities in life are taken care of via a modern amenities block complete with hairdryers and ironing boards, a laundry room and a well-stocked licensed shop. When the kids aren't at the beach, they should love burning off some energy in the on-site play area. Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is also just a mile from the village of St Merryn, where there are two pubs, a fish and chips shop, Chinese and Indian takeaways, a local bakery and shops. There are seven different beaches within a short drive of the site, including Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan beach (both 10 minutes' drive away). The on-site Conservatory Bar and Café dishes up homemade food. On the decking area, unwind with a local drink – perhaps a glass of wine from one of the local vineyards.

What customers say

This is a well-maintained and clean campsite, praised for its spacious and level pitches, friendly and helpful staff, and gorgeous location. Facilities, particularly the washrooms, are consistently reported as clean and well-equipped with hot water. It's a quiet and peaceful site, considered a great base for exploring Cornwall's beaches and towns like Padstow. Minor drawbacks mentioned include occasional issues with Wi-Fi, drainage, and some facilities being closed due to storm damage, but many visitors would happily return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The location
That we only stayed one night

Disliked The site was dated, the toilets and shower blocks was dirty and uncared for with toilet tissue on the floor in the cubicles.the bar area was chaotic with the staff kids watching kids programmes very loud even though customers was in trying to purchase food and drink, the staff member was dishevelled and not very well presented with a shirt on that was full of creases and jeans that didn’t fit him as he kept on pulling them up around his waist as he was trying to cook, at one point he pulled a pint which he split on his hands and then carried on preparing food without washing his hands, the food looked extremely greasy and deep fried so decided not to purchase anything had one drink and left
The pitches was over grown and extremely untidy, with dog waste at the back of the pitch, the Electrical hook up was covered with a plastic bag and didn’t feel safe so stayed on leisure battery

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Large pitch and wardens very nice.

Disliked No bar as promised, when it should have been open it was not.
We did have a large pitch but was rough, next doors was like a ploughed field.
The site is just set up to sell park homes.
They advertise a shop but nothing in it.
The men's toilets had 3 wc , but one was permanently out of order, so when it was busy, not good and not that clean.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The site was nice and the amenities were nice and clean.

Disliked The cafe bar was never open when the sign on the door said it should be. In fact even when the staff were asked when it opened it still did not.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Really nice location with a lot going for it.

The site overall has potential and could be excellent with the right improvements.

Disliked The toilet block is in need of a complete overhaul. At times there was a strong smell of urine, and the layout would benefit from better separation of urinals and showers.

A lot of people staying in holiday homes and chalets were using the toilets and showers. With only three loos available (and one out of service during our stay), the facilities were overstretched. These should ideally be reserved for campers and touring caravans.

The bar area was often very loud around 1am. The disappointing part was that the noise often seemed to come more from site staff than from paying guests.

Overall, the site clearly needs some money invested into its facilities to bring it up to standard.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Location was excellent, close to Padstow and several brilliant beaches.
Had a good bar on site and Showers and toilets kept in clean condition.
Pitches were ok and didn't feel cramped together,

Disliked WiFi was poor, and had t pay extra, not a huge cost but still feel it's wrong in 2025
