  • Sheltered family-friendly site powered by sustainable solar energy
  • Countryside setting, 10 minutes’ drive from Newquay's beaches
  • Heated outdoor pool, shop, bar and playground on site
Heading to Newquay to plunge with your surfboard into the foaming waves on world-famous surfing beaches, explore the stunning coastline and sample Cornish pasties? Step forward Treloy Touring Park, an award-winning site in the Cornish countryside and just 10 minutes’ drive from the surfing town of Newquay and its excellent beaches and coastline. Despite its proximity to Newquay, this spot is tucked away from the crowds, and it caters exclusively to families and couples looking for an outdoor break with a touch of luxury (and a heated outdoor pool). Holidaymakers will stay on generously sized pitches with access to facilities such as individual washrooms, an accessible shower room, parent and baby rooms and family bathrooms. There's also a high-speed wifi service so you can keep up with the world around you. The café/takeaway cooks delicious locally sourced food and there’s a shop that’s handy for essentials, camping items or fresh coffees, croissants and Cornish pasties. Kids can be entertained at the play area, which has a zipwire, swings, slides and an accessible basket swing, or you can take them wildlife spotting at the nature reserve's pond or the woodland trail. The family-friendly bar (which had an upgrade for the 2024 summer season) is the place to be in the evenings during the school holidays, when you can join in with bingo nights and pub quizzes. The bar has indoor seating as well as a terrace with a pergola, so there should be plenty of space to meet friends or hang out with the family. The sheltered location, only four miles from Newquay, makes this an excellent base for exploring stunning beaches, coastal paths, villages and Cornwall’s top attractions. Plus, the nearby Treloy golf course – with a driving range, nine-hole course, golf shop with club hire and a licensed clubhouse – is 15 minutes’ walk up the road and has concessionary prices for the site’s guests.

What customers say

This campsite is frequently praised for its exceptionally clean and modern facilities, particularly the shower and toilet blocks, which are described as some of the best seen. Pitches are noted as spacious and well-maintained, often separated by hedges for privacy. Guests consistently highlight the friendly and helpful staff. The heated outdoor swimming pool and on-site cafe are popular amenities. While most visitors have a highly positive experience, a few minor points include the cost of Wi-Fi, the occasional early morning noise from groundskeeping, and some guests wishing for more evening entertainment.

Electric grass pitch

Liked This is the nicest, most thoughtfully put together campsite I have ever been to.The gardens and the pitches are well curated and maintained, the facilities such as showers, laundry, washing up area all feel new and very well cared for. They even have a few larger bathrooms with baths for families with smaller children!
There is a clean before morning, a clean throughout the day and a clean in the evening. The food at the cafe is so fresh and the owner ensures everything is organic.
The pool and bar area are just beautiful.

Disliked If there has to be anything by way of constructive feedback - and I'm reaching, I'd say the pool table in the bar would work better in a different space so that when playing, you've got ample space.
But that's it, the place is really amazing and I thank the owners for thinking of everything and caring enough to make camping a luxury experience.

Electric grass pitch

Liked There is soo much to Love at Treloy, We really loved the Modern shower Facilities and hope that they bring this to the other shower blocks on site. We also loved the Club House & Games Room. We spent an evening playing pool or Bingo which was available Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday. Another positive for the site is the Pool which is great however we didn't have time to use It. We also loved the Cafe which we used on our last night so we didn't have much to wash-up before heading home in the morning

Electric grass pitch

Liked Spotlessly clean everywhere, lovely pitches love the hedges to have some privacy.
Cafe is cute, run by fabulous people food was 10/10. Dog walking field perfect our pooch she loved it. Great for younger kids. Showers and bathrooms amazing, huge and clean.

Disliked The ‘certain clientele’playing loud music every evening being so loud until way past the cut off times, all for fun but have some respect for others, kids on scooters nearly knocked me over more than once so dangerous and the parents couldn’t careless where they were… having to pay for WiFi so wrong and expensive, the site fees are costly as it is.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Pitch sizes are very generous. The bathrooms are always very clean, the swimming pool was nice but could have been a little warmer. Evening games in the bar were great fun for the whole family. The entire site was very clean. This was our second time here and we will definitely return.

Disliked Games room could be better. 1 pool table and 1 table tennis table wasn’t enough for the amount of people at the park.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The facility's were alwasy clean, the on site entertainment was good too, had a kids play area, a bar with evening entertainment and a pool on site. The staff was polite. The pitch size is also very good too

Disliked I think £10 per device for wifi is a little too steep id of been happy maybe paying £10 for all party or maybe 4 devices to connect to wifi for the week, also Nothing to do with the site but id definitely not visit while
Broadmasters is on. As traffic was a nightmare getting in and out of site sometimes, and could hear the music on site on a night time

Electric grass pitch

Liked All the facilities were amazing. The campsite had loads to do for the family and the toilets and showers was kept very clean. The views from the top of the hill were amazing. Outdoor swimming pool and splash park was great, and for it to be free was a big bonus.

Disliked Expensive arcade and the dog friendly part of the outdoor swimming pool needs to be bigger considering how many family’s came with their dog. Also a sign visible for people without dog to not sit in that area.

Liked Washrooms

Disliked The overall attitude of this place, on arrival my party was met with an underwhelming attitude. Prior extra payment to allow us all to be neighbours was still a problem at first.
We were then penalised (with a final warning to leave the campsite) after a daytime party at our pitch for my partners birthday. Although we did still adhere to the very strict 10pm silence, we were still told by owner "We should have celebrated before we came"

Local attractions

Treloy is in a first-class location whether your interests are coast- or countryside-based, with fishing, golfing, cycling and main attractions like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan all within easy reach. One or more of the 11 beaches in and around Newquay will be most holidaymakers’ first stop. Family beaches such as Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay are a few minutes’ drive from Treloy: both Mawgan and Watergate are lifeguarded in the summer and Watergate has safe swimming areas for kids. On land, Newquay and its surroundings have plenty going on too: try Trenance Gardens (part of Trenance Leisure Park), where there is more than enough to tire the kids out with the boating lake, crazy golf, play areas, nature trails, the flumes and pools of Waterworld and one of the miniature trains, the Little Western Railway. Blue Reef Aquarium and Lappa Valley Steam Railway should hold the attention of even the most fidgety youngster, but if not, Camel Creek is half an hour away. Kids thoroughly tired out? Onto more grownup activities such as an evening at Newquay’s theatre or four-screen cinema, or angle for some fishing: coarse fishing at Porth Reservoir, a mile from Treloy, or a half/full day sea fishing trip from Newquay harbour. The South West Coast Path runs behind Watergate Bay – hike from here to Mawgan Porth or the 10 miles to Porthcothan – and for two-wheelers, the Padstow to Wadebridge leg of the Camel Trail is an easy traffic-free 5 mile cycle. You might even want to – ssh – take the kids along on that one…
