  • Family-friendly site with fishing lakes 15 minutes’ drive from Newquay
  • Mawgan Porth five minutes’ drive; Springfield Fun Park 15 minutes
  • Children’s playground; resident farm animals; farm shop; launderette
Be sure to pack your trusted rod for your stay at Penvose Farm Holidays, a working farm on the edge of Cornwall Airport Newquay, with four coarse fishing lakes. And the best thing (or one of the best things, at least) about staying here is that your loved ones will also have plenty to keep them occupied while you sit by the water, waiting for carp and perch to bite, your canine friend snoozing gently by your side. (There is a small fee for dogs, but they are welcome here, provided they are well behaved around the livestock.) A children’s playground has a wooden climbing structure, swings and slides; the large grassy meadow is also a top spot for riding a bike or kicking a ball around. Then, of course, there’s the spectacular beaches of North Cornwall. Within a short drive are Mawgan Porth (five minutes), a sheltered sandy triangle at the mouth of the River Menalhyl; and neighbouring Porth Beach and Newquay (both 15 minutes, separated by the rocky Glendorgal Headland). Rockpools line the former, set within a deep inlet, while Newquay is renowned for its surfing waves. The South West Coast Path runs along all of these beaches, and a clifftop hike might lead to vantage points with stunning sea views – or to traditional Cornish pubs where you can stop for refreshments. A small farm shop at the site sells bits and bobs for the barbecue; there are also several supermarkets within a 10-minute drive, not to mention heaps of restaurants in both Newquay and Padstow (25 minutes). Other amenities on site include hot showers, a launderette and a communal fridge freezer.

What customers say

Penvose Farm is praised for its friendly, helpful staff and clean facilities, including showers and toilets. The well-stocked farm shop is a highlight. Visitors appreciate the spacious pitches, lovely countryside location, and the on-site play area, making it popular with families. Proximity to beaches and Newquay is a key advantage. Some guests noted issues with shower spray direction and the cost of WiFi. Occasional noise from planes at the adjacent airport was also mentioned.

Liked Travelled with one teen and our neurodivergent daughter.....it was our FIRST time camping ever so chose this place because of the space and surroundings.

Electric grass pitch (family)

Liked A great site, plenty of room on the pitch.
All the facilities you need. Very clean and tidy.

Had a great little farm shop onsite sold some lovely fresh produce as well as having supplies you might need.

Nothing was too much trouble for the owners. We enjoyed it that much we stayed on a few extra nights. It’s ideally situated for exploring Cornwall.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked liked being close to the facilities and how lovely the couple who run the site very understand when i paid for non electric and they let me upgrade for just £9 very cheap and great for kids with play areas and other things very nice site overall

Disliked shower you have to constantly press the button and if your not first in they get very dirty assuming from people camping the weather was a slight disappointment but obviously they can’t change that
