This is a quiet, well-maintained site with spacious, level pitches and plenty of privacy. Visitors praise the exceptionally clean and modern toilet and shower facilities, with some mentioning a small, useful shop and a dog walking area. The owners are noted as friendly and helpful, with good communication. While most guests enjoyed their stay, a few mentioned narrow access roads and occasional issues with Wi-Fi or shower drainage. The dog pitch size was also noted as potentially small during busy periods.

Great location, clean site and family friendly overall
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked We’ve just stayed here for four nights and overall had a lovely stay. The location was great for visiting both Looe and Polperro, and the site itself was always clean, tidy, and well looked after. The pitches were spacious and the site was peaceful overall. We enjoyed our stay due to the location and well-kept site.
Disliked The children’s park could do with some improvements, as there wasn’t a huge amount for kids to do on site so a lot of the children including our son played a lot on the middle green when not at the park, A few of the residents on some of the pitches also didn’t seem very welcoming towards children and were shouting at them on a couple of occasions, despite it being May half term and families naturally being around. The shower blocks were clean but quite dark inside, so brighter lighting would really help for things like doing makeup or drying/styling hair.

From the manager: Thanks for your review. I'm glad your general experience was good, and I am sorry if some of our guests had issues with your kids. Anyone staying on a campsite over half-term should obviously expect to find children sharing the site. I wasn't made aware of any issues at the time, so I can only guess at what might have happened. We usually encourage kids to play on the field where the play equipment is, away from the pitches. I was aware that there was a lot of play occurring in the main field over the BH weekend, but I believed most people in that area had kids, and it all appeared to be well controlled. I know it can be a little annoying for some people if children are using balls near caravans, or hiding behind motorhomes; however, I don't approve of guests shouting at other people's children when a quiet word with them, you, or site staff would have been a better response.
I do agree that the lighting in the ladies showers near the mirrors and hair dryer could be improved. I will look into this.
Will be back

Great Small site - Quite and friendly - great Shower/Toilet Blocks
Electric grass pitch
Liked Small friendly site with lots of returning clients. Shower/Toilet blocks were spotless and well looked after. Would return.
Disliked Nothing - Very minor point our pitch for the tent wasn't totally level so it meant sleeping an a bit of a slope but this didn't spoil things for us.

From the manager: Thanks for your review.
We do have 4 grass pitches that have a slight slope, and I appreciate that you can't level a tent the same way you can a campervan. Unfortunately, our booking system doesn't currently capture if people have tents, so it's tricky for us to assign flatter pitches when tent bookings come in. We will always try to accommodate pitch preferences when guests arrive, but it's often not possible when we are busy.
We’ve just had a wonderfully relaxing 8 days/nights here.
Electric gravel touring pitch
Liked The site was very clean, and lovely and quiet even though it was busy. There are some gorgeous walks right from the site so no need to move the car for a few days, but only a five minute drive into Looe (a visit to Sarah’s Pasties in Looe is a must). Really enjoyed our stay, was well worth the 8 hours drive to get there 😊 would highly recommend.

Liked Nice quiet friendly site
Disliked No cold tap for teeth cleaning and was very dark for shaving in the gents block

This is an excellent little site, nicely tucked away from Looe.
Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Spacious pitches and very relaxed- we had our awning set up and were able to park car across the front of our caravan. There was ample availability and we were able to easily extend our stay given how nice and quiet the site is. Shower block and toilets very clean and never busy. Site ground keeper was living on site and was exceptionally helpful. Good 4G coverage, and beautiful sunsets. Kids loved the play area.
Disliked The road in/out is very narrow - this cannot be helped and is normal for Cornwall, so this is just for attention on arrival/departure. A shower curtain or something to prevent everything getting wet in the cubicle would have made the showers 10/10. The site is exposed to wind being on top of a hill - again, not a problem, just be aware if you intend to put an awning up and its windy.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked Lovely pitch with plenty of space between us and the neighbouring van. Clean and well maintained site with small number of pitches .. plenty of toilets and showers which were also clean and maintained.. surrounding grass areas were also well maintained…
Gary was there on arrival and able to help with any enquiries.
Disliked Dog pitch is a little small.. ok for us at the time as there weren’t many dogs around but I can imagine it would become difficult during busier periods.
