  • Spacious unallocated pitches suitable for families, groups and dogs
  • Near to the South West Coast Path, beaches and attractions
  • Campfires and groups welcome; enclosed dog exercise field on site
To list the excellent pursuits that can be sought out from Lamarth Farm Campsite would take some time: coastal walks, cycling trails, National Trust beaches or clifftops, Poldark locations, mining trails, castles and activities such as surfing, paddleboarding, fishing, horse riding, coasteering and golfing… That’s partly down to the fact that this family-run farm site’s patch of land is at the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula. It's a simple and uncomplicated place surrounded by Cornish countryside and run by Rachel, Luke and the boys. Take in the valley views across Mounts Bay while cradling a hot choc or a glass of wine by the campfire. The pitch sizes are unrestricted, so there’s plenty of space to unwind, and well-behaved dogs are very welcome (four can join you for free, and you can add extras if you've a multi-dog group). There’s a designated enclosed dog exercise field, three dog-friendly beaches a short drive away and a great dog-friendly pub in Gunwalloe village, five minutes' drive away. Don’t worry on the food front either. Ice cream and pasties are easy to find locally, and there are shops in Helston, Mullion and Mawgan for essentials. Facilities are kept to just the basics with a clean and well-maintained male shower block and a female shower block with baby changing facilities. There are two partially covered sinks for washing up, a fridge-freezer for ice packs and other bits and sockets for charging battery packs. The large grass field also has a central recreational area for kids to run around, fly a kite or play games. Lamarth Farm is a working farm, so expect to see and hear lots of tractors (just don’t enter the yard area). There’s no livestock, but there are some chickens and ducks, so fresh eggs are available to purchase at the top of the lane daily. You may also see helicopters and gliders passing overhead from the nearby naval base.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked One of the most welcoming campsites I’ve ever been to and I’ve been to a lot ! Facilities are good you can get some really nice views and you get a lot of room to do activities on , trying to find a place which accepts single sex groups which allow 7 lads to stay is harder than bedrock however at this campsite they were amazing with it and very respectful, I will be making a return in the future!

Evania bell tent (four person)

Liked What a great little place. The bell tent was amazing and we loved the quirkiness of it. It’s so much better than spending hours putting your own tent up! We loved it!

Rachel was lovely and it was nice that she took the time out to come and chat with you, to make sure that all was ok.

The site itself is basic but we were happy with that. The showers were hot, we loved the fact that we had use of a kettle, plug sockets, fridge and freezer. We enjoyed watching the goats and chickens. It was great fun and we were sad to leave. We will definitely be back at some point soon.

Thank you ☺️

Disliked The shower and toilet area isn’t the best, but functional and the showers were hot, so we can’t complain at all.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Really large well spaced pitches on a flat well maintained site. There is a sea view that I wasn’t expecting which was lovely. The toilets and showers were spotless at all times with really hot water The shed with games to borrow and even an airbed pump and fridge were also really great , and the site owners are really friendly too 🙂

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked So much space, brilliantly located (close to lots of places of interest and numerous beaches), beautiful views and everything you needed onsite. The littlest of our party especially loved the chickens and goats! The older kids loved the football goals, space, and spotting gliders etc.

Disliked The ground was very hard so tent pegs were difficult to put in but that can’t be helped and the onsite shop even sold hard ground tent pegs!
