What customers say
This is a small, clean, and peaceful campsite with a very welcoming atmosphere. Guests highlight the excellent location, close to beaches and local attractions, and the convenience of an on-site pub. Reviewers praise the friendly and attentive owners, well-kept grounds, and spacious pitches that offer good sound insulation. The wildlife, including owls and swallows, was a notable feature. While the site is generally well-regarded for its clean facilities, future improvements are planned to increase the number of toilet and shower blocks to address peak season demand. Fire pits and wood are available upon request.

A very nice place, good stop to visit Cornwall
Non-electric grass and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked - Great location
- pub on site including food, good atmosphere, live music the night we went there (on a Friday).
- Cleanness of the facilities
- Heating in the toilet/shower block, very appreciable in a chilly Early April evening.
- Dog friendly
Disliked Although I enjoyed that the place was dog friendly, I also have to admit the dogs were quite loud. I believe it was the owners’ dogs that were barking non stop until 11pm and very early in the morning.

Facilities are basic, need to be improved. It is a lovely little sit
Electric gravel and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Location superb.
Pub onsite, nice beer, nice community.
A lot of potential, it could be fantastic!
Food onsite.
I enjoyed my stay
Disliked Showers and toilets not particularly good, not enough if the site is busy (only two).
No hotwater in washing up area.
It needs a purpose built showers and toilets for that money.
No wifi onsite, only in pub (its the 21st century ffs!)

From the manager: we have more showers and toilets being installed soon. There is hot water in the washing up room, gets very hot. We are in a remote location and the wifi is difficult, however it works well in the pub and beer garden. We could have star link internet but its very expensive and would have to be a steep increase in pitch prices to cover this. not feasible as most customers are happy with the wifi in the pub only, and come here to enjoy the quite relaxed site.
we appreciate your feedback however if you had a problem with the hot water or anything else you should have come into the pub and let us know so we could sort it out for you.
Will be back in the new year as was a lovely site with good walks .

Electric gravel and earth tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Really friendly owners with a real welcoming vibe about the place.
Location!! Absolutely amazing location in a little village so close to Hayle - brilliant hub to visit right into Cornwall.
The art work on the shower/toilet containers were quirky and cool.
Well kept grounds with large pitches- even though almost all electric pitches were occupied the first night of our stay, you would barely know as there’s a decent amount of space that the sound doesn’t travel far.
The local wildlife, particularly the tawny owls at night and swallows in the morning we could hear.
Everything
Disliked Not so much of a dislike, but a suggestion. I know the site are planning on getting more toilets/showers, which is very much needed especially in peak season, but it would be good to have separate toilets to the showers. At times, you’d have both showers occupied which meant there were no toilets available until the person showering was done- felt like forever when you needed the loo. Otherwise, I don’t think there is anything I’d like to change here.
