Many folk who come to Cornwall seek a base for its north and south. And secluded is often an option too, given how popular the place is in the summer months. Add both those wants to splendid surroundings, a view over a grand valley, and the peace of the Cornish countryside… and you get Menallack Farm Caravan and Camping Site. The owners rightfully point out that this is a very pretty part of Cornwall – and the site's rightly pretty too, set over two scenic acres with a nature walk down its valley, through Bluebell Wood and to a stream at the valley's bottom. Firepits are available near the pitching field and in the woods. There are also showers, toilets and a washing-up area. It's only two and a half miles from here to both Trebah Gardens and Glendurgan Gardens, three miles from the nearest beach, and within easy day trip distance of most towns, resorts and attractions on the north and south Cornish coasts. A farm shop two miles away from Menallack Farm stocks a good range of local fruit and veg, free-range meat and poultry, bread, Cornish milk, butter and cream, homemade pasties, pies, cakes and quite a bit more. Beyond that, Falmouth is four miles away for supermarkets and the like.

Liked Location was great, pitches were level and views good

Disliked First toilet block we used was very tired and showers weren’t clean, light didn’t work in one of them. Dog poo on a manhole cover just outside the ladies. We then changed to the 2 cubicles by the washing up room and they were much better.

Liked Very peaceful, close to falmouth, nice play area for children away from any traffic noise apart from the occasional farm vehicle , fire pits are a nice touch & firewood available on site , plenty of space on pitches some with picnic tables, shower water was hot & free, lots of wildlife & birds

Disliked Nobody to welcome you on arrival, found my pitch hooked up, no electricity, in the socket I plugged into, so changed plug & that one worked, Toilet block is very tired looking & not good for people who don’t want to share a cubicle with spiders, worst hygiene facilities ive come across in a long time. shed at the top field had 2 family bathrooms of which 1 was flooded, other was nice, Grass was cut nice & short but just left so the caravan was covered inside with grass, very long narrow road leading to the site
