General
- Friendly back to basics four-acre site on the outskirts of Camborne
- A five-minute drive from the nearest beach and Tehidy Country Park
- Barbecues permitted on site; food shops, restaurants and pubs nearby
Heading to Cornwall in search of cosy coves, splendid surf and mining trails? Rosewarne Campsite is a welcoming family and dog-friendly site on the outskirts of Camborne, a five-minute drive from the nearest beach.
Tick off the local beaches… will it be surfing down at Portreath beach (five minutes’ drive) or the waves at Godrevy beach (15 minutes’ drive) first? If walking and cycling trails are also on your mind, Tehidy Woods and Tehidy Country Park are five minutes’ drive away too, or there are mining trails and mountain biking courses locally.
With four acres of space, there’s plenty to do on site, whether you’d rather kick back and have a mini snooze or rustle up some food on the barbecue (bring your own barbecue and a stand or borrow a concrete block from the site to prop it up).
Handily, the site is also a five-minute drive from Camborne (a 25-minute walk if you’d rather go for a stroll). Here, there are supermarkets, locally-run shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés… or if you’re tired out from the day’s activities, there are many takeaways that will deliver to the site.
While this site will help you reconnect with nature (there are basic facilities only, including a dishwashing area and composting toilet), it’s a five-minute drive from the A30, so you certainly won’t feel cut off from the rest of Cornwall too if you’d like to explore more of the coastline and heritage sites.

Dear Customer,
Thank you for your feedback on your stay at our campsite.
Our back to basic campsite offers minimal Pitches to ensure there is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, this in turn means we can keep the toilets very clean and procedures are in place to keep this up to standard when fully booked - thank you for your concern.
1a) We pride ourselves on being a friendly, open and honest campsite. Stand, wood, firelighters, lighter and firepit are included in the price. In future we will state this more clearly to avoid any confusion.
1b) Space when camping is what we strive for here, it is a key aspect of what we love when camping. We have specified latest arrival 7:30pm and no vehicle movement past 9pm, we know things change just let us know and we will be happy to accomodate. We love having extra guests and anyone who wishes to invite extra people or tents to stay with us, please come to enquiries and we will be over the moon to ensure you make the most of your stay with loved ones.
2) We are sorry you feel that way. All the views are on pitch up for anyone thinking about booking. We love the views and hope others will too.
3) We do have a water source for washing up, however at current no drinking water. We are looking to develop the site further for next year which we are very excited about.
4) We currently do not have a postcode for the campsite, however the postcode given takes you past our sign and the cornish flagpole. If you do find it tricky to find give us a call and we will make sure we get you here ASAP.
5) Being agricultural land there can be occasions where machinery is being used in other fields. This is however rare and we apologise for any disturbance outside of our control.
6) The location of our campsite has many countryside walks to discover as well as bike trails. We are always happy to give information out about these upon request.
7) Our site is not for everyone and is back to basics, we love what we have done with the campsite so far and are looking to develop it further for those who wish to return. We believe our advertisement is an honest reflection and are open to feedback. Thank you for giving your time to write this review, we will take on board any relevant comments.
All the best,
Rosewarne Campsite Team
