  • Family-run and eco-friendly site on a rural smallholding
  • A 20-minute drive to sandy beaches; 30 minutes to St Ives or Falmouth
  • Shop and bus stop to Camborne in the village; feed the animals
Whether it’s riding waves, touring St Ives galleries or diving in Falmouth, there’s a classic Cornish stay at your fingertips from Chycarne Pastures Camping. While the sandy beaches of St Ives Bay are just 20 minutes’ drive away, it’s richly rural at this 10-acre family-run smallholding… that means a choice of country walks, animals in the pastures and the pretty countryside village of Troon 10 minutes’ stroll away. Eco-friendly this place is too… the family grows organic vegetables in the farmyard and you’ll have access to a composting loo and outdoor hot shower. Guests are welcome to help with feeding the animals, a few sheep and ponies in the pastures away from the house and farmyard. Kids are welcome, but dogs aren’t allowed due to the livestock. The site is at the end of a private lane, with country walks all around and moorland walks behind the farm for particularly pretty views over historic mine chimneys and the coastline. On a clear day, you might be able to spot the head at St Ives too. Conveniently, the village has a shop, post office, pharmacy and bus stop with regular buses into Camborne, where trains go to London and Penzance. Handily, the buses also connect to the beaches for easy days out by the sea.

Liked: It was lovely to meet Paul, who was an amazing host and was happy to help and offered lots of advice on what to do in the area. The location was great with an excellent view of the sunset and the stars. Meeting the piggies was a great add to the holiday - We would happily stay here again, thank you!
