What customers say
Summit Camping offers stunning views and a peaceful, back-to-basics experience on Kit Hill. Campers praise the amazing vistas, plentiful space, hot showers, and friendly hosts. Some mention the site is on a slope, which is acknowledged as part of its hillside location. Basic amenities include portaloos, which have occasionally drawn criticism regarding cleanliness and servicing, though managers have stated improvements and new procedures are in place. The site is recommended for its simplicity, location for walks, and value.

Liked Lovely slightly sloped field, absolutely beautiful views. One shower and some very clean portaloos.
Easy basic camping we loved it. Games for the kids and dog friendly. Our dog was off the lead the whole time and it wasn’t an issue. Very relaxed.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Beautiful view , lots of lovely walks near by . Peaceful . Owners lovely .. Communal fire pit . Cafe just down the road . Swimming spot close by .
Disliked Toilets could have been more spaced out around the field . Only one shower .

From the manager: Hi Victoria, we're really pleased that you enjoyed your stay and the views.
We only have enough water pressure (being so far up the hill) to be able to provide 1 shower.
It's the best we can do without electricity and normal mains water in the farm field.
The porta loos are grouped again due to necessity, for convenience and emptying services.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and we're so pleased that you enjoyed our back to basics pop up site. And the views. We are the highest campsite in Cornwall which gives us the spectacular vista. Unfortunately this year being so hot with the heatwave there has been a lot of horse flies about.
I have put bug repellent spray and antihistamines in the green field shelter so anyone can use them if needed they are next to first aid box.
