What customers say
This is a friendly, well-maintained campsite with a fantastic location, just a short walk from two beaches and Bude town. Visitors consistently praise the spotless, modern toilet and shower facilities and the helpfulness of the owner, Nick. Pitches are level and spacious, contributing to a peaceful atmosphere. While most guests have an excellent experience, a few minor points were raised regarding limited washing-up facilities, and the potential for queues for the two showers and toilets during peak times. Overall, it's considered a hidden gem and a highly recommended spot.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Such a great campsite! Toilets and showers are well maintained and never had to queue.
Pitches are a very good size and a short walk to the beach and amenities.
We’ve used this campsite several times now in the last few years and will continue to do so.

A lovely quiet site for maybe 1 or 2 nights. Pitches are a good size
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked The facilities are basic but clean. Two showers and two separate toilets. One cold water tap. Would benefit from an outside light above the showers / toilets as it is extremely dark at night and can be difficult to see where you are going as you step out of the cubicles.
Close to the beach 20 minute walk, (will need a torch for the walk back if after early evening) and Bude town centre
We arrived in Bude earlier than expected I contacted the owner and he was happy for us to check on to the site.
Disliked The hot water in the shower was only hot for 1 minute before running cold, very quick shower!

Liked New favourite, great clean facilities and the location is unbeaten as there are two beaches that are 10 minutes stroll away plus your not far from Bude town, real peaceful site. Nick the owner is a top bloke also. Very welcoming.

Would recommend this lovely hidden gem of a campsite
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Had a great stay in Bude at Wildly Camping. Great communication throughout our stay and a good host. The campsite is in a quieter part of Bude making it a good place to enjoy the lovely town but get a bit of peace and quiet at the end of the day. Decent pitch with good ground for camping. The toilets and showers were clean and warm. It's secluded with trees which gives a nice countryside feel. The nearest beach is a few mins away, it's an ideal location for us as a couple but could imagine families also. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

All in all, this is a lovely, peaceful, clean little campsite. Great!
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Everything really.
The location is excellent; a short walk to a lovely beach in one direction. A slightly longer (but perfectly reasonable) walk along quiet lanes into Bude.
Lovely owner, Nick, is always available, very helpful and friendly.
Very clean and smart toilets and showers.
Disliked Umm, the only suggestion we could think of is maybe a supply of hot water for the excellent washing up area?
Otherwise nothing.

Facilities were nice and clean and new. The site was tidy.
It was nice of the owner to come and say hello too which was nice. You dont always get that.

A small, busy site with pitches close together
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The people staying were generally very quiet and respectful - which was a good job as we were packed in so close together. The toilets and showers are kept very clean.
Disliked This campsite was not at all what I expected from the description, reviews and photos. It's the least 'Wild' campsite I've ever stayed in. I really don't mind the basic facilities or even waiting a while for the toilets in the morning, but the site is just a long, thin strip of grass and we were really packed in. The pitches are so close together that you can hear what your neighbours are saying even though people were generally talking quietly. The photos on the website are taken when the site is either empty or about half full. It was full the whole time I was there. I felt like I wanted at least one whole pitch space between tents/vans to feel comfortable. The only view is of the hedges on either side and the tents/vans/cars next to you and opposite.
I usually choose the far end of a site as it's quietest but there is a holiday park opposite and a big building that makes a loud droning noise (maybe an industrial air con unit) so we had to camp nearer the entrance and showers so as not to hear that.
We arrived late and had already paid upfront or I'd have left straight away to go and find somewhere else. We made the best of it, set our tent up facing the hedge to get a bit of privacy and were out all day anyway, but it felt rather like camping in a carpark. I know some people like a crowded, busy campsite but if you like a bit of space and a wild feel then I don't think this site is for you.
