Liked: We like that on arrival we met Norma, who gave us a tour of the facilities, and introduced us to the two resident donkeys who are very friendly and like scratches, camp site beautifully set out and very clean, ample pitch space, we also loved the fact that hot pasties/ sausage rolls and drinks are available to order from Norma herself, all are reasonably priced and very tasty, and again fire pits and accessories are available at reasonal prices, the drinking water is straight from their very own local spring, on the morning of our departure, we were pleasantly surprised that Norma paid us a visit to say goodbye and to wish us a safe journey, highly recommend this beautiful camp site
Disliked: No to dislike regarding this camp site

Liked: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gwel-an-Nans. I would rate this as my favourite campsite to date! The setting is idyllic. The peace and quiet was perfect. Norma, the campsite owner/manager is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble. She is very friendly and welcoming. This is a great site location for nature lovers, with bird song all around. The woods at Cardinham are an amazing place to walk the dogs. There is a great cafe in the woods to make the very long walk worthwhile! We also walked to the dog friendly cafe at the Stable Art Studio. The pay as you go electric worked really well, and is a very good idea. We enjoyed saying hello to the on-site donkeys each day. The site has a lovely nature walk through fields and woods, with a beautiful stream, which is open seasonally, weather and conditions dependent. We did visit it a few times with the dogs. It is an amazing on-site perk! All in all, a tremendous time at this gem of a site. We will definitely be repeat customers!
