Can't wait to come back. This is now my favourite place to camp.
 Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Everything! The poor staff member had to deal with me and my bad luck of my card declining every time and still helped me out. Loved the area so much. The horses seemed to stay round us lots! Was amazing to just sit and watch them. My son was the loudest there this weekend so he was the only noise I had to deal with.
Disliked Nothing. Wish it had electric but that didn't matter really.

Beautiful, tranquil site set amongst the deciduous trees of the forest
 Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The Denny Wood site has always been very attractive.
However, there were some signs of neglect regarding the facilities and it was evident that the C&CC were not making investment in the site.
All that has changed.
We witnessed very positive changes. The wardens cabin has been refurbished and now looks very smart. An on-site shop stocking essentials, is a bonus.
The tired barriers around the drinking water supplies have been mended and re-painted and new fire alarm bells have been installed.
All of this, without detracting from the peaceful and tranquil nature of this lovely site.
The fact that the prices have been restored to a realistically low level to encourage visitors to stay for longer, is yet another positive.
We will definitely be back.
Disliked There is now nothing to detract from the beauty of this little gem of a site.

One of the best campsites I have ever been to
 Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Great location surrounded by forest. There were horses visiting the campsite in the morning obviously not bothered by the people. Staff is friendly and helpful. There are plenty of hiking or biking trails. I really enjoyed my time there and definitely would go back.
