Lovely relaxed weekend with peaceful surroundings.
Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch (small)
Liked Small peaceful campsite. Claire and Peter the owners were lovely. They come around at night with fire pits to use and wood to purchase. Perfect for a quiet weekend away. There is a pub nearby coaches and horses where we had a lovely meal. They do breakfasts from 8:30am but we never ate there in the morning. Really nice beer garden. 15 mins walk across 2 fields or a 3 min drive. Small shop near the pub that sells essentials. Only accepts cash or bank transfers though. Showers and toilet facilities were good. And a sheltered washing up area. We had a larger tent measuring 7 meters and Claire was very accommodating. We went into Gisburn forest about 20 mins drive and has a good trail for the kids you can buy an activity packet and follow the trail. There is also a lovely gardens center 5 min drive or 20 min walk away that does lovely food.
