Liked Beautiful location, very clean amenities, you can really tell they take care in their campsite. Lovely owners, very kind and willing to help. Brilliant shower, with a variety of shower gels and shampoos that are provided. Highly recommend! :)

Liked Picturesque setting with some fantastic views. Not too busy and quiet and peaceful. Helpful hosts. Would like to come back.
Shower and toilets were basic (as described in listing), but were kept clean. Liked walking around Staveley's hills.

A peaceful stay with just the necessities

Liked One of the most beautiful, peaceful places we have ever been! We loved the clear view of the stars with no light pollution and the absolute quiet apart from the odd bleat from a sheep. Beautiful 20 minute hike up to the yarn for a paddle and more amazing views. Easy path walk down to the village for a great pub, amazing bakery and a play area the kids didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be back.

A charming up in the hills feel, with all the essential facilities.

Liked Scenic location. Easy to turn up and find your own pitch. Lyndon came around to greet visitors in the early evening. The facilities covered the basic essentials and were well thought out. The shower was clean and a good size to change in, it had shower gel for the forgetful (me). The two portaloos were freshened up before nightfall and were very clean.
I had a new wild camping tent to try out. The site is up in the hills, so not level, but I found a good pitch. I stayed on a Bank Holiday Friday and everyone seemed to find their own spot to suit the size of their tents, even turning up late.
Friendly hosts with good communication and hand drawn map to find the site. You get a remote feeling but without foregoing the things you need.
