What customers say
Visitors consistently praise the immaculate, well-equipped cabins and the peaceful, beautiful setting. Many highlight the exceptional hospitality of owner George, who goes above and beyond. Fishing is frequently described as excellent, with stocked lakes. Minor issues mentioned include uncomfortable sofa beds and inconsistent shower heating, though these are outweighed by overwhelmingly positive experiences and a high recommendation rate for a relaxing getaway.

Oak 2 bedroom cabin (no pets)
Liked Just spent 3 days here on a fishing weekend with my son & grandson
Beautiful location very high spec cabin with
everything you need provided (apart from food )
some nice little touches included ice packs already in the cool box, a box of matches for the stove/ fire pit and sachets of milk for coffee's
George was really helpful on arrival and called round with fresh ice packs on day 2
Also nice that the logs for the fire pit were included in the price - lots of sites have an extra charge for them..
Disliked Mattress could have been better otherwise would have been 10 out of 10.

Liked Absolutely loved it here, me and my husband did some fishing and caught so many in the first pond. We spent the night in the kingfisher cabin and it did not disappoint. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place to be. We will be back!

Liked We liked it all really no complaints with the hut was cozy and the fire pit outside we had a great time
Disliked To many Lilly pads in the pond so difficult to fish although there is 3 ponds and can fish them all it’s just the one outside the hut which was over grown with Lilly pads

Disliked Shower didn't heat up. An added bonus would have been a gas bbq for cooking if stayed longer

Shepherd's hut (no pets)
Liked The best place we have ever stayed. Accommodation was absolutely stunning, so well equipped. Fishing lake right outside our cabin which was brilliant. If you want a relaxing few days in a gorgeous place then I can't recommend it enough.

Shepherd's hut (no pets)
Liked Absolutely loved this site, so pretty and peaceful. The lodges where far away enough that you felt like you had your own little area of the lakes so didn't feel over crowded. We stayed in the shepards hut so it was of course smaller but it was so pretty and cosy.
Disliked The only down side for me was the fridges not working, although the ice packs where a nice touch to attempt to keep the fridge cold they didn't last.
