What customers say
This campsite boasts a beautiful waterside location with spacious, private pitches. Guests praise the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the on-site cafe, bar, and pizza offerings. While the site is generally well-maintained, some reviews mention a shortage of toilet and shower facilities, particularly during peak times. Aircraft noise is occasionally noted, but many find it manageable. The site's unique system of transporting gear via quad bike is popular.

Lots of space and privacy, lovely…
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lots of space and privacy, lovely café and fabulous staff 😊
Staff help you to your pitch with a quad bike and trailer as cars aren't allowed on the pitches, making it much safer for little ones 😊
Disliked Having a shower was difficult as no lights in the wooden showers (and keeping clothes and shoes dry was tricky there) and the light wasn't working in the one shower by the cafe, leaving the room pitch black once the door was shut and unable to use.

Bell tent
Liked Beautiful location, well kept grass, very clean and well looked after. Very peaceful and quiet. Dishwashing area and outdoor showers lovely. Bell tent came with cooking utensils, stove, knives, chopping board, pans etc which was great as I left mine at home! Very comfy bed. Picnic bench, firepit and 2 large camping chairs with each tent included too.
Disliked He tents are all a very dark green now and not like the images on here. This made them incredibly dark inside during the day. A few lights provided but still very dark and not what was expected based on the images. Tearoom and pizza place/bar are closed on the Monday (tearoom closed 30 mins after check in) and didn't reopen until the end of the week. I get things aren't open 7 days a week but the price didn't reflect this, as it was the same price as later on in the week. No one on site for check out so just left.

FANTASTIC SITE
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely campsite with designated pitches. Love the no car rule on the site and a trailer takes your camping gear to your designated pitch. Facilities include a great cafe and bar open in the evenings which serve pizza.
Disliked The toilets (potaloo) and shower facilities are very basic and not cleaned regularly. The bins are often overflowing.
