Liked: Our stay at Ponden Mill was peaceful and memorable. The surrounding nature was quiet and calming - just what we needed. There was some temporary roadwork nearby during our visit, which brought a bit more traffic than usual, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
The host was warm and welcoming, and the facilities (especially the showers and toilets) were very clean. The heating worked well throughout the night, making our stay comfortable even when it got chilly during the night.
One of the highlights was visiting Haworth Town, just a short drive away. It’s a small village, but it felt incredibly warm, inviting, and alive with character- so much so that I found myself thinking “I could live here.” The old streets, stone houses, and cozy atmosphere stayed with us.
We had a meal at a very busy restaurant in Haworth, but despite the crowd, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was cleanly presented and absolutely delicious - simple but done perfectly.
Also nearby is the lovely Brontë Waterfall, about an hour’s walk from the site. It’s not a huge waterfall, but it’s nestled in a small valley and felt like a hidden gem - charming, quiet, and a perfect spot for couples or families.
Ponden Mill is more than just a place to sleep - it’s a great base for discovering the Brontë countryside, or for just slowing down and enjoying the simple, beautiful things. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Liked: From the moment we arrived everyone was lovely and welcoming. Facilties were nice and clean.. washing up area was good. We eneded up with a full pitch to ourselves which we was buzzing about. Shaan (if that's spelt right) came and introduced herself, she was so nice so was fletcher the dog. Such a laid back peaceful time with no wifi or signal which I loved. Had a nosey at the other things available to hire like the cabin in the woods, the teepee etc. Just an overall brilliant experience and I think id finally brave coming alone in my van next time as I felt so comfortable. Definitely a 10 10 for me.
Disliked: Cant think of anything other than we came during the week so missed out on the bar which opened Sunday so I'd come back to have a nosey in there too

Liked: The service was absolutely amazing, we ran out of gas on the first night and Barbara let us cook in the b and b as were halfway through cooking. All staff were very friendly and ensured we had a good stay. The camp site was clean and easy to access. The toilet and shower facilities were always clean and stocked. There was loads to do around including the Bronte falls, walking trails throughout and a moderate walk into oakworth where we got a lovely meal. Overall we would definitely come back again for both the amazing views and the lovely staff.
Disliked: My phone did not have much service but my partner had full bars. There was wifi available closer to the building when needing to access booking.
