What customers say
This is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with a great riverside location, a short walk from Ripponden's amenities, pubs, and shops. Visitors praise the friendly owners, excellent and clean shower/toilet facilities, and level, serviced pitches. Some noted the site can be difficult to find and that pitches, especially hardstanding, could be wider. Issues with EHU sharing and occasionally busy facilities have been mentioned.

Close to amenities, needs better EHU and wider pitches for us.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Close to some great pubs, flat pitches, great walks right from the site.
Disliked The EHU was not adequate, it used a splitter to share between 3 pitches. This meant that it kept tripping and needed resetting at box. We were only running our heater, same as pitch next to us. We had to switch to gas, which defeats the purpose of paying for EHU. The pitches are pretty narrow.
The shower kept going cold, and there are only two for the whole site.

Quiet peaceful site
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Like others have said, we did wonder where we were going when we turned off the main road. This is a nice peaceful quiet site by the river. It’s a very short walk to some lovely pubs serving food and there is also a co-op. I didn’t use the facilities but my husband said the toilets are basic but clean and was very impressed by the quality of the toilet paper 😂😂It’s not far from home us so will definitely be returning when we want a quick weekend away

Nice quiet site, but could do with improvements.
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Nice quiet site. Lots of places to go eat and drink nearby.
Disliked Reception point needs to be made more clear, as nothing tells you where this is. Facilities were not clean, I never saw them get cleaned for the entire stay. Gritting needs to be looked at if it snows or gets icy, as it only slightly snowed when we were there and it was like an ice rink. Towing on our way out was not a nice experience, we thought we was going to hit a car/house as was so icy. We didn’t have control of anything as it just slid (but we do drive an automatic).
