What customers say
This is a well-maintained, peaceful site with spacious pitches and friendly, helpful owners. Visitors praise the cleanliness of the facilities and the beautiful natural surroundings, with plenty of wildlife and walking opportunities. While some mention that the toilet and shower facilities are basic and limited, this is often balanced by the overall tranquil atmosphere and good value. The site is considered secure with a locked gate.

I don’t like giving negative feedback but you need to improve toilets
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Good location, very large pitch, staff were very friendly, camp site is a nice size.
Disliked There is only 1 toilet and 1 shower per men and per woman, the site was full so had to wait on lots of occasions to go to the toilet, clearly not enough for this camp size. There was no soap in the soap dispenser throughout my stay (3 nights), I had to listen and smell (I was almost sick) to a old man having a crap 3 feet away whilst I had a shower. It’s possibly the worst toilet facilities Ive ever come across throughout my many years camping, it’s basically a portacabin. I’ve stayed at festivals that have better toilet facilities.
Also annoying is having to get out of your car and unlocking gate to get out and also to get back in, why not just leave gate open till 8pm and lock it up then.

Great site with wonderful wardens!!
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Lovely, quiet & friendly site, very well placed not far off the A1. As newbie campers with a rented motorhome, Chrissie and Dave (& of course Diesel!!) were fantastic - and really went above and beyond, helping us out & doing a great patch up on some pre-existing issues we discovered on the van! Got some great tips from them too, and we felt a lot more confident heading off on our road trip!! Thanks so much to them both, and highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful site.
