Liked I booked this site at short notice.it was an absolute gem.a small quaint site,immaculately clean,and picturesque.wearrived late but received a warm welcome by both the owner and the warden, who recommended an Indian takeaway as we were tired and hungry.The food was amazing I will definitely be back to this little haven

Liked We recently spent a few nights at Kirk Field Banks Caravan Site near Ulgham, and it turned out to be a very pleasant and relaxing base. It easily rates as a great site, offering a laid-back atmosphere that is perfect for a getaway.
What Works Well:
Peaceful Atmosphere: The site is surrounded by mature trees, making it feel nicely secluded. They have a 10 PM quiet-time policy, which keeps the evenings calm and quiet.
Spacious Pitches: The pitches are well-sized and hard-standing and grass. A little close to the neighbours so you could hear their music, but otherwise spacious.
Friendly Management: The family running the site is helpful, welcoming, and keeps the grounds looking excellent.
Summary
If you are heading to Northumberland, Kirk Field Banks is highly recommended for its great location and peaceful vibe close to the fantastic beaches and historic castles. Just be sure to bring some flip-flops for the shower block in case other guests have left a mess behind. We would definitely stay here again.
Disliked The only Issue: Facility Etiquette
Our only real complaint during the stay was the state of the toilet and shower block. While the facilities themselves are adequate and clearly cleaned regularly, other campers often left them in a messy state. We encountered dirty, soaking wet floors and un-wiped sinks. It is a shame that a few inconsiderate guests let down what is otherwise a very well-managed setup. A few discrete signs reminding people might help.

Liked The site was spotlessly clean and the pitches were huge. Chrissy (the manager) went out of her way to help everyone and works really hard making the site as good as it is. The site was very peaceful and we had a great time. We wish the site was nearer to us so we could use it more often (we live six hours away).
Disliked Having to pack up and come home!!

Liked We had an 8 night stay and can highly recommend Kirk Field Banks if you enjoy peace, quiet and tranquility. We camped on a grass pitch with electric hook with no issues. There is only one toilet, basin and shower for ladies and the same for gents but, the camp site only has 15 pitches at its max capacity so there was never a queue that we saw.
There is no WiFi but that was not a problem for us though may be for some 🤷♀️
Chrissy, the warden, was lovely and helpful with lots of local knowledge for our site seeing expeditions.
Ideal location for short drives to beaches, castles and picturesque towns and 32 miles to Hadrian’s Wall and Holy Island…just what the doctor ordered, thank you ☺️

Liked Quiet site, really peaceful and the wardens were fab.
Disliked The toilet block...one shower, one toilet, one basin wasnt great. We didnt pay the extra for the electric hookup seemed a bit expensive. We didnt even stay our 2nd night due to the limited facilities.

Liked We love staying at Kirk Field Banks, when in the area. The site is beautifully green and serene. It is very well maintained and very reasonably priced. We love the added picnic tables.
