What customers say
This campsite offers friendly and helpful management, with many appreciating the easy access and pleasant views. While pitches are generally clean and tidy, there are consistent reports of dated and unclean toilet and shower facilities, with issues including lack of soap, towels, and working locks. Some guests noted significant road noise. Improvements are underway, including upgrades to shower blocks and washing-up areas. The advertised pub is closed.

A small place for a short breake
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked A campervan site with a space for tents. The grounds are clean and tidy; the toilets and showers clean ok. Mr. & Mrs. White, the landlords(?), were amazing. Near from places of interest. Would suggest a covered place to prepare small meals / wash up.
Disliked The campsite is besides a road with traffic 24h. No place to wash up but the staff say it will be built.

Great if you need a pitch with electric at short notice.
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Friendly and helpful warden. The grass pitches are tidy and well kept and the site is well managed. Nice views over the fields. Relaxing weekend. Great weather helps
Disliked More reality check but by no means a complaint - Met my expectations as a last minute booking for the price. The toilet block is clean but dated. There is road noise but this is the case at many sites. Go in with your eyes open and lower your expectations and you can have a relaxing break.

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked There was hot water in the basin
Disliked Was right next to a busy road
There was nowhere to wash up
The toilet block was the far end to where the tents were but right next to the static homes
Bits of paper with rules on were pinned up everywhere on poles and boards. It felt like they expected us all to be really bad people

Basic and cheap, if thats what youre looking for
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Campsite wasnt overcrowded and site manager borrowed us a electric lead which was nice.
Disliked Where to start. We booked this last minute as our booking had been cancelled elsewhere due to unforeseen circumstances, so we weren't expecting much. when arriving the pub that was stated on site was a derelict building at the front. (after looking at reviews after appears this has been derelict for about 8 years) We rang the number as no reception when you arrive to be told to head down to a pitch. When we got to the pitch a man turned up and asked us what we were doing there and that we couldnt just decide what pitch we were on (fair enough but thats what we were instructed to do on the phone), the man spoke to the person on the phone and it turns out he owns the site and this man runs it. Apologies were given by the man after, but it was a strange welcome after a 2.5hr car journey.
Site was basic, no where to wash pots, shower block smelt clean but very outdated and muck and mud surrounded the shower cubicle and shower so getting ready the next morning with a baby was a nightmare. Shower temp went scolding hot and then freezing cold. No where to hang clothes in shower either. The site sits directly behind a main A road and you could hear cars flying past, this didnt bother me as much but more concerned that if there were to be any accidents on that road the speed they were going, the only thing keeping between the main road and your tent is a bush.
Left very early the next morning as nothing to do.

Liked Absolutely lovely people that own this campsite always there to help if they can. A very easy campsite to find and easy to pitch up a tent no horrible rocks ! The views here are incredible all day around but especially in the morning when the sun is rising ! The toilets and showers are good. And the price is very affordable.
Disliked Absolutely nothing

Liked Very welcoming, and helpful site owners, hot showers and Electric hook up for camper van. Dog friendly too.
Everything worked as it should.
Disliked The pub is no longer open!
There wasn’t anything that bothered us, though some folks may think the shower block looks a little tired.
