  • Seaside pitches on a farm opposite the holy island of Lindisfarne
  • A 20-minute drive from Bamburgh and Seahouses
  • In an excellent location for birdwatching and spotting seals
Fenham-le-Moor Campsite is set on a working farm in Northumberland, directly opposite the holy island of Lindisfarne. The views here are truly spectacular – as well as the ancient monastic island, you can see the dramatic rocks known as The Pinnacles, Bamburgh Castle to the south and Berwick-upon-Tweed to the north. Wildlife is all around at Fenham-le-Moor Campsite, and oceangoing birds, waders and seals can often be spotted from the shore. You might hear the local animals too – expect a soundtrack of day-long tweeting and chirping from the birds and low-pitched bellowing from the seals in the evening. Facilities here are on the low-key side – there is running water available, and guests have access to basic portable toilets and waste disposal points. The site is approximately 10 minutes' drive from Belford, the nearest village, where there's a well-stocked supermarket, farm shop, pub and takeaway restaurant. The farm is just off the A1, making it a convenient stopover on north-south journeys, but it's also worth sticking around here for a longer spell and investigating top local attractions like Bamburgh Castle (20 minutes), Alnwick Garden (30 minutes) or the The Coast & Castles Cycle Route (a short bike ride from site).
