  • Quiet pop-up farm site on the edge of the Northumberland coast
  • Alnwick 10 minutes' drive; Seahouses a quarter of an hour away
  • Set on a working arable and sheep farm; dogs on leads welcome
Gallowmoor Farm is a small, friendly pop-up farm site in the scenic county of Northumberland, close to the edge of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is part of a working arable and sheep farm but located away from most of the agricultural activity, giving you a taste of rural life with plenty of peace and quiet. With a limited number of spacious pitches, guests here can look forward to a laidback camping experience. The pitches are separated by a tree on either side, for shade and extra privacy. Facilities are simple, but you'll have access to drinking water and basic portable toilets. Other amenities are within easy reach, though, as Gallowmoor Farm is about a mile and a half from Rennington's village pub and a 10-minute drive from the larger town of Alnwick, where supermarkets, shops and cafés are available. Gallowmoor Farm is about two miles from the A1, making it an excellent stopover for north-south road trips as well as a top pick for longer stays close to the varied attractions of the Northumberland coast. Well-behaved dogs are allowed, but out of consideration towards other guests and the livestock in neighbouring fields, please make sure that they are kept on a lead at all times.

What customers say

This is a peaceful, well-maintained site with spacious pitches, often separated by trees. It's praised for its excellent location, ideal for exploring the Northumberland coast and nearby attractions like Alnwick. Facilities are basic, primarily clean portaloos and water taps, which some found a little limited for the price. The owners are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Occasional noise from trains and roads is mentioned but generally not disruptive.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Hillside location in easy reach of the coast and several castles. Easy to get to location off the main route that makes an excellent half way stop over on our trips up to Scotland. Lots of good local food options in the area and always something new to see.
