The Paddock non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: It was a lovely campsite, it was really easy to find as there’s a clear sign on the road. I saw a review saying the facilities weren’t good but they have been redone and were very clean and spacious, really nice for a campsite. I would definitely stay there again.

Dale View non-electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked: Very nice, small and quiet place. The toilet and shower facilities was new-ish so it was nice and clean. The fridge, microwave and kettle were definitely bonus. We’re hiker so directly to the coastal path from the camp site was amazing. The place was absolutely lovely. Definitely will come back again.

Disliked: None.

The Paddock non-electric hardstanding and grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: The toilets were very clean. The site had everything we need and more, hot water, sink, kettle, microwave, fridge freezer. Plus access to the cinder track for coastal walks.

Disliked: The grass was quite patchy and sandy which the dogs walked into the camper a lot, but looks like it's a work in progress.

The Paddock non-electric hardstanding and grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: Location is perfect. Kitchen and toilet and shower facilities very good

Disliked: This site is not managed so it’s a free for all. People turning up past 10pm at night to set up camp is very disruptive and not very relaxing. We were in a tent so it’s noisy and people up late drinking and making way too much noise but without anyone monitoring the site nothing you can do about it. Broke my tent getting the tent pegs out of the ground which was like concrete. Only 2 showers isn’t enough as nice as they are. Three toilets also isn’t enough.

From the manager: Hi Janine. We are sorry you were disappointed with your stay at Valley View. Unfortunately we can’t control the summer time weather and that it’s not rained to soften the ground up - I think I speak for most people when they will take hard ground over wet. We are actually above legislation for amount of toilets/shower to people ratio - you guys are the 1st to say we haven’t enough. Sorry you guys felt this way. A high percentage of our guest describe our site as peaceful and to say the site is unmanaged isn’t accurate as we actually live on site and we were up on site with the late arrivals on Friday ( these are very rare but the 2 late arrivals were prior arranged ) if you had any disruption you could have gladly called us - you get our contact details with your booking and again we do live on note. Our son also lives right next to the site you were on and never heard a thing. We do also have a period of quiet from 11pm till 7am .

The Paddock non-electric hardstanding and grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked: Lovely small site with nice level pitches , very quiet.Nice clean showers , loos and pot wash area .Owners very friendly . Added bonus of a kettle and microwave being available.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike about the site other than the Cider trail ( cycling ) to Scarborough was almost unusable due to weather damage and we were disappointed as this was one reason for staying here but that is not the fault of the camp site at all.
