And when it comes to finding somewhere to rest your head after all that pedalling? The Hulleys Campsite could well be the answer. This simple and scenic rural site is set a few minutes' walk from that traffic-free bike trail and 10 minutes from a local pub. On top of that, The Hulleys Campsite is within easy strolling distance of the coast (roughly a mile from base), where the splendid Hayburn Wyke waterfall makes a very pretty backdrop for picnics, walks and general seaside frolicking. It's a five-minute drive from these spacious pitches into the village of Cloughton, where a couple more pubs and a farm shop are on hand to keep you fed and watered during your stay. For supermarkets and a wider range of restaurants, steer yourself towards Scarborough (15 minutes). The Hulleys Campsite prides itself on keeping camping here simple. The facilities reflect that, with low-key but functional toilets and showers. Dogs, barbecues, commercial vehicles and student groups are all welcome.

Camping pod

Liked Excellent place to stay, we were pleasantly surprised with the space. The site is very quiet and well equipped toilet/showers. The hut was warm and cosy & had a TV & kettle. We were greeted by the lovely cheeky goats in the morning. Excellent views also. We would love to return for a longer stay.

Liked Lovely and peaceful, good sized pitches. Great sea views in the distance. Farm animals across from the pitches.

Disliked Light in shower room didn't work so couldn't use on a dark morning

Liked Stayed for a last minute weekend trip, price was very cheap and easy to book. For a peaceful getaway, no noise at night (though on an active farm so still noisy in the evening but not an issue!). Zero light pollution and the sky/starts were unreal. Short ten minute walk to a local pub which is worth checking out. Very respectful other campers and no noise post 10pm! Windy location so chuck a warm jacket in for the 2am toilet run! Great views, would highly recommend if you just want somewhere to pitch up and spend the day exploring.

Disliked Toilet/showers. Didn’t realise until arrival only one shower for 20 pitches but luckily it wasn’t busy. Heating didn’t seem to work inside so made for a very cold morning shower and change. Communal tent freezer probably needs binning, something left inside growing a colony so didn’t use it. Maybe worth a welcome email to explain no need to check in/or a reception etc but liked the self pick pitches, took one in the middle.

Highly recommended for East Coast camping.

Camping pod

Liked What a gem of a spot (for the camping pod).

The bed was really comfortable, the pod was nice and warm with electric and the space the pod is on is perfect for privacy and if you have a dog or kids.

The view though!!!! Perfect views over to Scarborough North Bay.

Shower in the ladies was clean and hot.

I especially loved the donkeys and other animals surrounding the pod.

I'll be back, for longer next time.

Disliked Only issue encountered was the rubbish from the last visitors was still in the bin and the mugs were full of coffee.....not a biggy though.

Liked Great pitch up, nice and peaceful lovely walks to great pub. Showers nice and hot everything you need. Nice flat pitches.

Disliked Maybe have the toilet block cleaned more, but that's my personal opinion.
