What customers say
This is a well-maintained, clean, and quiet site praised for its spacious pitches and excellent family facilities, including a top-notch play area. Staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. While most amenities are clean, some noted basic or occasionally unreliable facilities, with an extra charge for Wi-Fi. The site is well-located for day trips to York. A few guests experienced disappointing pitches, particularly when booking through Pitchup.

Great, neat and friendly site and would definitely return
All-weather electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The whole site is very well thought out with a couple of separate meadows, good facilities block and Reception/small shop, playground and dog walk/ball pitch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I liked the drive up to the entrance barrier and the vehicle reg recognition system.
Sheriff Hutton village and the pub and shop are walkable on a path.
Disliked The only small point was WiFi is paid for per day/week for one device only. I paid £4 for 2 days but could have done with access for more than one device for that. Not sure why it’s restricted like that

Liked we were welcomed and shown to our pitch by the warden who was a credit to the campsite, we had a great crack and chat with him. we took the grandchildren who loved the play area and they made new friends. Toilets and showers were basic but clean. The pitch was the best weve come across, big , water, waste water, and toilet waste all on your pitch. The local pub is about 1 mile walk, about 20 mins but worth it good pint and good food and easy to call a uber back to the site for about 4.50 pounds.
Disliked A small number of older youths about 16 or older in the play area should not have been in there spoiling and showing off a bit, it was off putting to the younger kids.

Beautiful well maintained site - want to go back ASAP
All-weather electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Beautiful well maintained site. close to local amenities and also an easy trip to York centre and the monks cross shopping parks. Modern Shower blocks with separate family bathrooms. Peaceful clean and private site. Lovely well stocked shop and welcoming friendly staff on site. The dog walk /cycle track was a great start to the mornings with a pretty little woodland. Reg plate recognition on the gate so you don’t have to mess around getting out to punch in a security code is ace! Their children’s area is really top notch. We will definitely stay again and have recommended to friends

Family friendly site with clean facilities and friendly staff.
All-weather electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely friendly welcome. Good advice about the site facilities and about how best to get to York for a day trip (had hoped for a bus from near the site, but the Park & Ride option seemed more practical). Simple site with clean facilities. We had a pitch where we weren't too close to others, so nice and quiet and private.
Disliked I was there with my 6 year old grandson. He loved the zip wire, but found the other toys targeted more at younger children, which was a little disappointing.
