What customers say
A well-maintained and peaceful site offering spacious, private pitches. Visitors praise the excellent, modern shower and toilet facilities, and the convenient location for visiting York. The on-site golf course and woodland walks are also popular. While the majority of feedback is overwhelmingly positive, a lack of washing-up facilities and occasional limited opening hours for the clubhouse were noted by some.

Lovely quiet site, level pitches and clean facilities. Pub on site.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Swallow Hall was a lovely quiet site and it was not very busy. The site was level and there was a good choice of pitches and the toilet block was very clean and had lovely showers. It was self check in so we did not see anyone around although there was a pub on site where I assume you go for help if necessary. There were some good walks from the site through local woods. We found it was convenient for other attractions in the area.
Disliked We had come to play golf but found that although the course was in good condition it was very short and we thought it was expensive (£21 a round) for what it was. We would not return because of this and thought £12-15 a round would have been a better price.
The phone signal was not good and the site should offer wi-fi because of this.

Liked Very quiet and great toilet and shower block. Lots of room on pitches.
Disliked Bar and restaurant closed over the weekend. Very annoying as that is why we booked the site. No hair dryer in toilet block. Electric tripped when having tv and kettle on. Thought the fault was with the kettle bought a new one but electric still tripped. Tv was constantly losing connection checked tv on getting home no problem with it.

Liked *clean, tidy, secure site

* clean modern toilet & showers
This was a great site, very laid back pick your own pitch when you arrive which are large areas.
The toilets & showers were very clean and modern though there was only 2 of each in the ladies and i think mens so plan well.
We didn't get to use the bar but was told the food was excellent.
