There is even a children's play area for the little ones. From the park, you can embark on scenic walks along the River Ouse, immersing yourself in the tranquil countryside that surround the site. And for those who wish to explore further, the exceptional city of York awaits, just a short bus (or boat) ride away! Located near the Bosun's the iconic on-site restaurant open for drinks on the terrace, lunch and dinner. Bosun's promises a dining experience that delights all the senses, with locally-sourced seasonal ingredients taking centre stage in every creation. From farm-fresh produce to succulent meats and delectable seafood, each ingredient is carefully selected to deliver a culinary experience that's both contemporary and honest. Bosun's serves a full range of menus, a-la-carte, Sunday lunch, children's menus, Steak Special and Afternoon Tea from Thursday to Sunday. Onside facilities include toilets, showers, a washing up area and laundry facilities (coin operated). There is also WiFi and a play area for kids. motor boats, kayaks and canoes can be hired too, with bookable beauty treatments available. There is The Bosun's Restaurant (open Thursday to Sunday) and Riverside Food Cabin where you can purchase breakfast, coffee, snacks and sandwiches. Bosun's Oven offers fresh wood-fired pizza seasonally.

The Boatyard cancellation policy

No refunds within 2 weeks of arrival date.

Cancellations by you:
Should you need to cancel your booking you must advise us by email to enquiries@the-boatyard.co.uk.

Your cancellation will only be effective as of the date we receive your confirmation. All payments taken are non-refundable or transferable in all cases of being cancelled by you within 14 days of arrival. Cancellations or amendments are possible with a full refund with 28 days or more notice of your arrival.
Cancellations between 15 to 27 days beforehand are none refundable however you will be able to change your booking dates subject to availability.
If you need to cut short your holiday after it has commenced, we regret that we are unable to refund any monies paid.
Please do not ask for holidays to be transferred or refunded if you are cancelling within 14 days of arrival, when making your booking you are agreeing to these terms. We strongly advise that guests take out insurance for their holidays.

Cancellation or changes by us:
In exceptional circumstances, we may have to cancel or change some aspects of your booking. If we do so, we will tell you as soon as possible prior to your holiday date and you may choose to either:
1. Accept the changes offered by us
2. Receive a full refund
We do not pay compensation in circumstances where we have to cancel your booking including those arising from circumstances beyond our control including (but not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, global pandemics and acts of government but excluding flooding.

The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.

Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.

If you need to cancel or amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/campervan.
The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
