Liked: Well set out site ,all hardstanding pitches with electric and tap.plenty of room to manoeuvre.Good lighting,secure barrier entry. Good correspondence with the owner re : pitch number and barrier code before arrival. Unlike some reviews,we didn’t hear the road noise. Good location for accessing York ,just off the A 64, Do watch out for the brown sign,as we missed it.

Disliked: Thought the shower block needed a complete overhaul .However ,it was clean and liked the individual shower rooms . As there was no warden on after 5 pm , I felt vulnerable as there was no one to contact in the event of an emergency.

Liked: Offered fully serviced pitches.

Disliked: Very self service. Didn’t see anyone on arrival or departure. Site ok, but the toilet block needs to be flattened and built properly. The showers had lots of mould, and some of the ladies toilets did not flush properly. Had fully serviced pitch and no issues with that, but due to the facilities, we would not return to this site.

We do advise that the reception is not manned full time, we do ask for arrival times so we can try to be on site to meet people. From other reviews coming in from around the time you stayed on site most are very positive regarding the site as a whole and also the shower block. We hope you manage to find alternative sites which you are happy with.

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 1 day(s) before your arrival.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Public areas are non-smoking.
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Reception

Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Open fires are prohibited.
