  • Luxury Yorkshire Dales glamping pods three miles from Malham
  • Access to Pennine Way and local walks; pubs within walking distance
  • Farm shop and tearoom next door; kitchen and barbecue for each pod
Time to step away from everyday life for a while? Malhamdale Glamping could well be the place to do it – once you’ve settled in at your pod here you can turn your mobile phone off, stash your car keys away and simply relax… The sweeping views of the Yorkshire Dales should be enough to keep you away from your devices, and there’s little need to drive anywhere as much of what you’ll need is within walking distance. There’s a kettle in your pod, so your first move may well be to make a cup of tea, sit at your picnic bench and survey the landscape – all green hills and classic limestone walls, with Malham Cove off in the distance. It’s bound to inspire you to get out and explore – and it’s easy to do just that, as these pods are well placed for lots of great walks. For starters, the Pennine Way passes very close by, leading you off to places like Malham Cove, Janet’s Foss, Gordale Scar and Malham Tarn. Handily, the local path network can also take you to one of several local pubs for a good meal, a good pint and a cosy evening by the fire. Prefer the DIY approach? Back at the pod you’ll have your own mini kitchen (with a microwave, two-ring hob and fridge) and a firepit/barbecue for alfresco cookery. You’ll not have far to go to find something to cook, as there’s a farm shop next door (with a tearoom that also serves breakfasts, lunches and cakes). As well as the kitchen, your pod contains an ensuite bathroom, a dining area, a double bed, a sofa bed and a TV, plus heating to take the chill out of cooler nights.

Camping pod

Liked I stayed at Malhamdale glamping for the Christmas period, just me and my dog, on arrival the pod was lovely and clean, very welcoming, coffee, tea and milk to get you going, Richard had messaged before arrival with details and directions, very helpful , the bed was very comfortable and clean, wifi was strong and tv worked well, there is cooking facilities inside although I didn’t use them.
I found the heating inside the pod to be excellent and underfloor heating was a treat I’m not used to, onsite cafe and farm shop looked busy so must be good!
Nice clean area for rubbish disposal near by and logs for fire pits, plenty of space around the pods for a nipping the dog out, amazing views and beautifully quiet, there are many amazing long walks through the valleys and surrounding villages, I met Richard one morning, he was very helpful and handed me a booklet on local walks, he was there cleaning for the next quests, he was a good laugh and we had a good chat, I would highly recommend a stay here, I will be returning in the spring.
Many thanks Sam

Disliked No dislikes at all, all I would add is a outside hot/warm water tap/hose for washing pets feet before entering the pod, no essential but would help as the walks locally can be very muddy.
