Straddling the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Lodge Park is a well-maintained site that will appeal to those who fancy a peaceful retreat, perhaps punctuated by invigorating walks through the surrounding woodland. Dogs are welcome here, so you can have your best friend by your side as you explore the local paths – not to mention the caves and waterfalls for which this area is known. If you want to sink your teeth into something more challenging, the trailhead for the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk (which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough) is a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, you can admire the countryside from the comfort of the train on the Settle–Carlisle heritage railway (Settle station is about a mile away). Keen golfers, meanwhile, might prefer to while a few hours away on the greens at Settle and Giggleswick Golf Club (five minutes’ drive). On site, the toilet/shower block has been built with natural limestone, in keeping with other edifices in the area. On a chilly Yorkshire evening, you’ll no doubt be grateful for the underfloor heating in these quarters, which also include disabled facilities. The market town of Settle (five minutes), with its cute stone cottages, has numerous cafés and restaurants, traditional pubs and independent shops.

Liked: Beautiful campsite, all facilities kept clean, owners are very friendly we asked if any takeaways delivered and they didn’t so owner kindly went and picked one up for us. Available to rent fire pits and logs overall amazing place

Liked: Spacious level campsite. Clean. Good access to water, grey waste and refuse. Beautiful views and near Settle town centre. Helpful staff.

Disliked: Shower wasn’t as warm as I’d liked.

Liked: Great site Go and find your own pitch over two huge fields, the bottom field was backing onto the river which was nice. Jo met us on arrival & showed us the amenities. Showers, toilets and utility room where very clean and looked newly built.. There was 4 large bins and recycling bin for your rubbish. The town of settle was a only a 15 minutes off road walk away with plenty of pubs and eating establishments. The watershed outlet mill was only a 5 minute walk away. This site is also good for walkers many of which start from near the site.

Liked: Relaxed atmosphere, pitch where you want. Very friendly and helpful. I got my motorhome stuck and they helped bring it out with the pick up. The location is excellent. I can't wait to come again.

Disliked: Could do with an extra shower or two. Not a massive problem but would be good.

Liked: Such a picturesque site with lots of space and clean facilities. The man who was working was so helpful and really friendly, giving advice about where was best to pitch with the young children and local knowledge. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Disliked: Not a dislike but maybe one or 2 portaloos/compostable toilets for the bottom field as the toilets are a 5 minute walk away. Not a dealbreaker at all! Just a possible improvement idea :)

Don a hard hat and take a stroll deep into the bowels of the earth at Ingleborough Cave (20 minutes’ drive). Here, you can admire stalactites, stalagmites and other spectacular rock formations sculpted by water over many millennia, plus subterranean ponds. Dominated by a well-preserved medieval castle, Skipton (30 minutes) is on the banks of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, which you can explore from the comfort of a cruise boat or, if you feel comfortable around swing bridges, from your own hired narrow boat. On the outskirts of town, Raven Tree Top Adventure has hanging bridges and ziplines. Spend a day at the seaside in Morecambe (55 minutes), where you can take a leisurely stroll (or cycle ride) along the promenade, check out the trampoline park and have fish and chips alfresco, as you gaze upon the vast mudflats of Morecambe Bay. The mudflats might look inviting, but they’re notoriously treacherous, with quicksands and fast-moving tides, so you’re advised to stay off them.

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available pitch on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.
Modifications are subject to a £5.00 fee.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
