  • Well-maintained adults-only holiday park at Cliffe in North Yorkshire
  • Designer Outlet York 20 minutes’ drive, and historic York 25 minutes
  • Super-sized pitches with a weekend clubhouse and bar across the road
Jumbo-sized pitches and a properly warm Yorkshire welcome are what you can expect at Linda’s Farm at Four Acres Holiday Park, found 10 minutes’ drive from Selby in the tiny North Yorkshire village of Cliffe. Specifically set up for large motorhomes, the family-run site is easy to get to from both the M62 and the A1(M). Opened in 2024, this adults-only spot is just the job for anyone looking for some quiet downtime on landscaped pitches with views over the surrounding fields. They’re all fully-serviced, but there is also a pristine shower block available for your use. You can source most basics in Cliffe’s well-stocked shop, two minutes' drive away from the site, or have a wander down to the local pub (20 minutes’ walk), also in Cliffe, for a crafty pint of Yorkshire ale; there’s a beer garden for warmer days. At the weekend, the action ramps up a bit with entertainment across the road at the sister site Cliffe Country Lodges, where you can chat with your neighbours at the on-site clubhouse and bar (open on weekends and Thursday and Friday evenings).

What customers say

This is a very clean, well-maintained, and peaceful adults-only site with spacious pitches and modern, immaculate toilet and shower facilities. Staff, particularly Alan and Hazel, are consistently praised for their warm, friendly, and helpful welcome. The associated bar across the road is a popular bonus, with a welcoming atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks (cash only). While some guests noted minor issues like the lack of Wi-Fi or a limited number of shower facilities, overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Very peaceful site. Fantastic warm welcome from Alan and his partner (Sorry never caught her name). Couldn't be more helpful. The site is well maintained and the gardens are lovely. Toilet/shower facilities nice and modern and spotlessly clean.
Had a lovely evening in the pub over on the static site just across the road, spent time talking to the owner Linda which was a lovely touch, a really nice lady that runs a wonderful site.

Disliked Nothing

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked It is associated with the holiday park opposite and the bar and people there were lovely

Disliked Pitches very close together and our neighbours came back late and were very chatty/laughing to midnight (no music or anything). No hooks in shower room for towel or cloths.

Local attractions

Golfers will be happy to hear that there are several courses within half an hour’s drive, and walkers can look forward to strolls around the ponds at wooded Skipwith Common National Nature Reserve (10 minutes’ walk) or through the wildflower meadows at Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens (15 minutes). If you’re in need of a wardrobe update, there are bargains galore at the Designer Outlet York (20 minutes’ drive), while gorgeous, historic York (25 minutes) has more wonderful shopping in cobbled streets like The Shambles. The city also has medieval walls to circumnavigate, and you can see how the Victorians lived in the excellent Castle Museum or join free guided tours of the Gothic-era Minister. There’s more heritage to be found at Selby Abbey (10 minutes), a rare architectural mix of Norman and Gothic styles, or you could make a day of it at the Royal Armouries Museum (45 minutes) in Leeds, which has a spectacular collection of armour and weaponry to peruse.
